Before Bryan Avila—known globally as The Producer BDB—became a celebrated figure in the art world, his creative journey began in music. In 2008, alongside his close friends MC Marcelo (Marc Cauresma), WYN, and Dick Dastardly (Paul Acosta), Avila launched a unique sonic experiment called BTC Project. The group quickly gained underground attention with their genre-blurring style, delivering infectious tracks like “Ringtone” and the provocatively titled “Droopy Eyed Armless Children.”

This period of musical exploration not only shaped Avila’s early artistic voice but also fostered the collaborative ethos that continues to define his work. BTC’s sound was an eclectic mix of raw energy and creativity, reflecting the same unorthodox spirit that would later characterize Avila’s visual art.

Today, as a painter whose work merges pop culture, street art, and fine art traditions, Bryan Avila credits his musical roots with teaching him rhythm, flow, and the power of collaboration—elements that remain visible in his globally recognized visual pieces. Whether on a track or a canvas, Avila’s art remains a testament to his relentless drive to push creative boundaries.
