Our first vinyl EP narrates the kitchen-table tales of the mythical Mucky Trace, brought to you by our resident marching band, Felon5.

As the gloomy shadow of 2020's year-long dance floor hiatus gradually begins to dissipate, an international calling for hedonism has swept eagerly through the world of dance music. And with it, an unspoken summoning for the third 'Summer of Love'.

A year of pleasure indulgence and accidental anarchy as we flock from forest to field and retake the dance floors we so often missed.

So, as the year begins to gain momentum and the calendars begin to fill, let us join you in the celebrations for the year that we lost and present you with our piece of this intricate puzzle - BIZR001.

The label will serve as an amalgamation of the years of Bizarre that have passed. Of sleepless Sunday mornings as nights turned into days and days back into nights. Providing a soundtrack for that dedicated weekend warrior, sporting a crinkled cowboy hat and a pair of luminescent sunglasses, blissfully unaware of the world outside the walls that surround them.

And in doing this, build a lasting home for our residents and for the wandering nomads who have yet to find a home. Sprinkling a personal pinch of our own seasoning into the musical stratosphere and offering a timeless fragment of Bizarre to the future generations that will succeed us.

Our second vinyl EP is brought to you by our very own clubland Casanova - B.Love.

The project oozes that signature B.Love sound, parading an array of funk-infused bass lines and bouncy vocal samples, peppered with groove-infused vocoder chops which add to the EP's playful charm.

This project marks the first solo 4-track release for B.Love, unleashing his fun and distinctive flare as he lays a solid foundation for his future craftwork. 

Each track embodies a mischievous hedonism, showcasing a funner side of Bizarre whilst offering a flirtatious glimpse into the mind of "B followed by the Love".

No siesta here as he serves up three different cocktails to quench the thirst of the devoted sun chasers and holidaymakers. Our loyal protectors from the rays SPF make their TAN return with an oiled-up version of “Do You Wanna Go”.

Offering dance-floor ammunition in Car Boot Bandits and Bepès The Bing Bong Song to a deeper, more romantic side of SPF with Funk Fairy. Teasing elements of Spring and sunshine in Tooter (Toot Ya Flute) which sit parallel to the Euphoric breaks of Chewing On Bumbles, featuring a remix from our old mate. (Smeagzy doing what he does best).

First Listen: SPF - The Bing Bong Song (Bepés Bing Bong Mix)

We’re back with another piping hot edition of TAN, featuring some fresh blood and a familiar face. 

Leading the charge is Dj Jim  - Legendary landlord and pub nobleman, supplying us with a clubby house ticket fresh off the cider press. Followed closely by our boy, Hanoi Roy - Vietnamese rollerblading icon and part-time carpet cleaner, providing something that’s deep yet driving, channeling that 80’s electro-funk feel. Next up, a fresh-faced duo, known commonly in the industry as a Pink n Stinky, but don't let that put you off, their tunes tell another story, offering nothing but class with their slick deep house and musicality. And last up, a man we’ve known about for a while but never had the pleasure of meeting. Some say he can speak to animals, some say he can’t. All we know is that he wears an eye patch and walks with a limp, and has gifted us a groovy summer soundtrack to round up our proceedings.

So there you have it, our next round of dodgy delinquents, here for a moment and gone the next!

At the wheel for the next mix in our series is '@Bizarre Trax' Co-Founder, B.Love!

The London-based B.Love is a staple in the city's underground scene and is gaining a lot of traction with his smooth yet energetic style, that's underpinned with solid grooves. His latest release on his self-titled imprint, 'B.Love', is a showcase of his funk-infused, sample-heavy production style and is sure to be in many DJ's bags this summer.

This live recording from last year's Gottwood features the first hour of B.Love's set, and we're super excited to share it with you. Showcasing an eclectic selection in his signature funky style, B.Love's sundown set on the 'Curve' really had the crowd moving from start to finish and is a moment that still lingers in our minds

A star flickering in the jaded night sky, a shimmer on the amber horizon. Something moves in the distance, life from another universe, a light rising from the icy clutches of a cold Winter. 

“Is that Spring?” the small boy asks. “No..” says his father. “... it’s something better.” 

“That, my boy, is the 9th edition of Tan Trax.”

And, in that moment, the boy knew his future was saved.

TAN returns with a skull-shaking VA, presenting four exciting artists we feel honoured to showcase. Track one is ‘Activate’ made by the thrilling Frenchman, Vitess. The track is a sound designer's daydream, sporting that classic intergalactic French-house feel - a tried and tested dance floor bomb.

Track two ‘Pomelo Negroni’ comes from an undercover agent, a familiar face with a fresh fragrance. The track sports a funky bass line engulfed in techy rhythms, embodying that playful spirit of TAN and the octet that came before it.

Third is ‘Spectral Bloom’ from the new kid on the block, Keny G. Offering up a slick deep house roller, with mystical pad work and straight sex appeal. This track oozes class and a spring-like sophistication. A real head bopper for the hay fever season.

And, last but by no means least, is ‘Funkt’ created by the up and coming, Eluse. The track is a stripped-back, no questions asked groover. Tight swinging drums and a bass line to match. A track fit for any moment, daylight or dawn.

Ten is the number of toes on any two human feet, the sum of nine and one, the years in a decade and the number of releases it’s taken to reach this moment in TAN time. We started TAN as a one off, an excuse to release more music and have fun with the stories that we tell. An output to create more, engage more and offer more to the people who love and support our Bizarre Trax vinyl imprint.

We never imagined it would reach this point but we’re truly thankful to everyone that has supported our ‘little’ project along the way. It’s grown a personality of its own…

This project was curated in support of Berlin’s Club Der Visionaere and sister club MS Hoppetosse in the summer of 2020, due to the fire of 2019 and the impact the pandemic passed on to the clubs, two pinnacles of the scene, that have given so much to our community.

TAN001 sees the launch of the Bizarre Trax digital offshoot, Tan Trax. 

Fronting the debut release is the magical and mysterious Mr Factor 50 himself: SPF. Drawing influence from several strains of symphonic suncream, SPF meanders through a variety of his favourite vibes, bringing you a well needed shot of Vitamin D this winter.

After the inaugural tanning from SPF, Bizarre Trax has called on the most adhesive collective in the game for 002 - Sticky Boyz. Their slippery debut outing teases an array of playful moods, sliding head first through the rougher edges of dance music subterranea that will have you nursing heatstroke from start to finish. Including a breaky & boisterous trip with the slimy sesh aficionado - DJ Smeagzy. 

Setting the EP in moist motion is club heater “Kangaroo Jack”, wringing with a jackin’ D-floor energy injection. Next up is a Dub/House infusion in “Peeping Tom (Feel Your Body Mix)” soaked in warm, perky organ flavours. Next, you have an exclusive opportunity to join Sticky Boyz for a pleasant evening stroll down the boulevard in “Sundown Serenade”, who knows where the night will take you? Sailing on a more urgent tip is “Where’s The Wally”, with pulpy synths and emphatic drums. 

The wildcard of the EP comes with a remix from DJ Smeagyzy - A hybrid lizard chip off the old block. After meeting this increasingly rowdy and overly optimistic boogeyman at countless grubby afters we just knew we had to bring his signature ASBO-chic style to Tan Trax. He delivers an acidic, breaky reshape of “G-List Only”, dripping with succulent syncopation and a mystical prowess. The track provides listeners with an enchanting journey through the eyes of a top shagger who has earned his stripes within the scene. 

Expect a serving of double-sided tape for TAN002.
