For the next installment on Break New Soil, we are very excited to welcome two artists, who might be new additions to our label, but who are surely no new faces to the world of electronic music: André Galluzzi and Daniel Stefanik have both cemented their status as true musical innovators with a strong sense for details and sonic quality in their productions. The three original tracks showcase their signature sound, trippy on one hand but with both feet firmly on the dance floor! For the remix, we are happy to welcome our good friends Thomas and Tassilo, better known as the infamous Pan-Pot, who delivered one belter of a remix that sounds classic yet modern at the same time! 11 years after their last EP on Break New Soil, we are psyched to welcome back two very good friends of ours and true heavyweights of the international Techno-community: Extrawelt return to Break New Soil with three magic tracks that once again showcase their versatility and unique artistic approach to making music. "Jetzt Neu: Alles Wie Früher“ is a fresh take on the energy that made us all fall in love with Extrawelt in the first place. Arne and Wayan were not even sure about releasing this belter as they don't want to repeat themselves - but luckily for all of us we could convince them. „Knackfrisch“ comes along fresh as a cucumber: A rhythmic powerhouse full of clever edits and tricks. It seems to constantly accelerate just to make sure it'll win the race against itself. Equipped with a massive kick, funky hihats and smashing percussions it aimes to set dancefloors on fire. Last but not least, „Treuepunkt“ is definitely one for the soul. Deep and driving with syncopated rhythms and lovely synthwork that is topped with a bleepy melody that could come from Detroit rather than from Hamburg. We hope you enjoy this triumphant return to our beloved label as much a we do!

We are happy to welcome yet another new face to our ever growing artist roster, though Rico Puestel is definitely not an unknown name for fans of electronic music! Rico is - amongst many other things - a trained pianist, a self-trained guitarist, a drummer, a musicologist, a Zappa enthusiast, a struggler, a neurotic, a martyr of art and, most-notably: A genuine, perpetually driven music producer! Gregor has been a fan of Rico´s music for years, and - being blown off his socks by his recently released full length album Obi Thine Xi - had to ask Rico for some original music to be released on Break New Soil. Et voila: „Afar“ landed in our mailbox like a beacon of light in these dark times for club culture! On top of the three outstanding original tracks, we couldn´t be happier to have Alexander Kowalski working his magic on „Axioms". Once again, Alexander delivered an example to underline his status of being one of the most in-demand producers in the realm of modern electronic music! To round things off we are stoked to present a full-on peaktime rework of „Afar“ by the duo of the moment that is Joyhauser! We believe we have quite the package for you to enjoy!

It’s safe to say that 2013 has been the biggest year in Gregor Tresher’s career so far. Remixing Depeche Mode & Moby, releasing his 4th full length album and completing another tour around the globe spanning over more than 8 months, there is no stopping in sight for the man. So, to end the year in style, Gregor and Break New Soil set to unleash another track that is destined to become a highlight in the label’s history. For the title track of Gregor’s album "Nightcolors", no one else than French legend Laurent Garnier handed in one of his rare remix works - and boy, did he deliver!

Gregor says: "Laurent has always been one of my absolute favorite DJs and musicians. I can still remember when I saw him playing for the first time at Dorian Gray in Frankfurt in 1993. I was standing next to the booth watching him work his magic, and I remember it was one of the key moments why I wanted to become a DJ myself. So now - to get one of my own tracks remixed by him is really a dream coming true for me and I think the result speaks for itself: Laurent is on top of his game, more than ever!"

We are delighted to present to you a very special release. Gregor´s anthemic „Quiet Distortion“, the titletrack of his album back in 2016, received a very special peaktime remix treatment by Bart Skils. Gregor and Bart have been friends for a long time, so it was a no-brainer to be excited, when Bart told us he is working on a remix. Barts meteoric rise in recent years, kicked off by his fantastic productions and his pivotal role in the Drumcode artist roster, are only the next step in his constant career and the reward for his hard work as he continues to deliver remarkable work as a producer and DJ as well. His version of Quiet Distortion highlights Gregor's songwriting qualities by featuring the original melodies and pushing them to new levels by adding Barts irresistible trademark drumming and also a dramatic arrangement, guaranteed to set every dancefloor on fire.

On remix duties we present a man that doesn't really need an introduction: UK Techno guru Alan Fitzpatrick revamped the original track and delivered a huge remix, guaranteed to set the big festival floors on fire this summer! With the two additional tracks „Matricity“ and „Seven Lakes“, Frederik shows his versatility as a producer and rounds off the EP in style. You don't want to miss this one!

We take immense pride in upholding the integrity of our label's name, and we're excited to announce a remix by Gregor Tresher for Mike Skinners legendary "The Streets”, which does just that. Gregor's admiration for The Streets' seminal 2002 album, "Original Pirate Material,” has fuelled his unwavering support for Mike Skinner's extraordinary musical journey.

Last year, when The Streets’ poignant EP "Brexit at Tiffany's" made its debut, Gregor crafted a remix of one of its tracks for his DJ sets. This rework quickly became a closely-guarded secret weapon, setting dance floors ablaze wherever he played it. The idea of reaching out to The Streets arose, driven by curiosity about Mike's reaction to the remix. To our delight, not only did he appreciate it, but he also granted us permission to officially release it on the label.

So without delay, we are delighted to unveil Gregor Tresher's monumental reimagining of The Streets' "3 Minutes To Midnight." This once anonymous gem has now emerged from the shadows, and we are absolutely thrilled to bring it to your eager ears.

The Italian based Giorgio Rusconi makes his debut on Gregor Tresher’s Break New Soil imprint, serving up two peak-time techno blockbusters. Rusconi - who has made a name for himself with previous releases on labels such as Amazing Records, Audio Elite and Diva Records is known for his uncompromising, cutting edge Techno sound. 

‘Kepler’ is no exception to that approach. A tough groove, backed by an enormous bass drum marches forward, while the looped melody patterns keep the energy flowing. The well-structured break downs and crisp hats will provide maximum impact on a proper dancefloor near you. 

‘Cosmic Vision’ takes us on an excursion into deep space. The sleek slow burner morphs tripped-out, effect filled pads with funk-driven percussion sounds. Going full throttle midway, after a mysterious voice starts leading the way.

While the original album ”Quiet Distortion“ still resonates on dance floors around the world, we are more than happy to present to you a wonderful and versatile remix package of select album tracks. We believe the lineup of remixers really speaks for itself:
First up we have Nicole Moudaber, who has established a notable presence amongst the techno elite. Nicole transforms the title track of the album to an epic 10 minute journey that - dropped at the right moment of the night – will definitely let the magic happen.
Next up we have Wigbert, hailing from Offenbach in Germany and releasing on Dubfire´s Sci+Tec and Carlo Lio´s Rawthentic, who also reworked the title track. Wigbert builds his version around the original strings to create a dense remix that explodes in a monstrous breakdown!
Third on the lineup we have Jewel Kid from Malta, who just recently released a stunning EP on our little label and who delivers the bigroom mix on this package, twisting the original melodies to an apocalyptic dance floor destroyer.
Soma artists Gemini Voice Archive have been a mainstay in Gregor´s DJ-sets for the past year with their distinctive and unique hypnotic sound - another perfect match for this remix package - they picked ”Safehouse“ and boy, did they deliver!
Last but not least is Jonas Thor Gudmundsson aka Ruxpin from Iceland - Gregor has been a fan of his music for the past 15 years and we´re very happy to have him close the EP with his stunning vocal rework of the album´s final track ”Give It All Away“.

Marco Effe returns to Break New Soil with his third release for the label, cementing his status as one of the most consistent young talents hailing from Northern Italy. While his track "For Me- marked a highlight in the label"s young history and was praised by press and DJs alike, his newest release once again proves his constantly evolving producer qualities.

Marco moved to the German capital a few months ago and one can clearly hear the impact its world renown clubbing-experience has on his sound: On A we have "Seaweed Deep-, a melodic dancefloor weapon that perfectly showcases Break New Soil"s current musical direction. On the flipside, Marco teams up with his buddy James Mile - listening to the distinctive vocals of "Slicked & Sliced- that sit perfectly over this marching, stripped down house groove makes us think of those Berlin dancefloors we all know and love.
