It’s another pure gem unearthed as we welcome a fine collaboration between two relatively new names in the scene, but what an impact they’ve made!

Anjunabeats favourite and sensational sound designer, Sunny Lax, heads up remix duties as he turns in a block rockin’, head noddin’ interpretation, which strips the electro bassline back to the core and creates a driving, groove based rhythm. A wondrous breakdown ensues creating a cascade of delicious plucked melodies before the groove returns taking us all the way to trance heaven!

Harping back to the classic Super 8 & Tab style they were famed for, the ‘Dark Mix’ boasts a big, badass electro bassline as the focal point of this powerhouse production. Making way for a delicious plucked melody, backed by some macho chord stabs, this melancholic production will fit nicely into the playlists of the Progressive Trance faithful!

After the success of his debut on the label with 'Reject', Breame returns to Always Alive Recordings this time with Hungarian producer Jack Vath to provide another fantastic original along with two additional remixes.
With 'Reject' getting extensive support from the likes of Above & Beyond and Myon & Shane 54, 'Sweet Ordeal' has big boots to fill and does so with plenty of bass, shooting synths harking toward the newer trance sound, yet balanced with melodic chords and piano leads. The original sees Breame & Jack Vath showcase their impressive ability as two young British producers.
Lending a hand on the EP is one of the hottest progressive talents seeing releases on the likes of Enhanced Progressive and creating a name for himself is High 5. His remix takes the original's on an euphoric whirlwind with elegant chords & progressive FX to switch the original on its head.
Lastly completing the remixes is none other than Mike Sonar, a name responsible for some monumental tracks injects his trademark big-room bass to create a formidable peak-time dance floor destroyer.

Humble beginnings for the duo A/B Project, their first release together proved hugely popular, receiving instant support from Above &amp; Beyond and Armin van Buuren and going on to win Webvote Winner on TATW.

Although stripped-back, the Original mix establishes an energetic feel with an arpegiated bassline and driving percussion. A stadium-filling stab lifts the energy further still, giving the track a meaner edge before slowly bringing in the unmistakeable melody. Intricate bassline flurries take you to the elongated breakdown for the lush atmosphere and gorgeous plucked lead.

The Kuffdam &amp; Plant remix adds a few more BPM to the track for even more peak-time draw. Drawing on the synth stabs of the original and adding chunkier percussion and a fizzing lead string Kuffdam &amp; Plant give this mix a big-room feel.

For the last remix of the package, Firestorm brings their trademark sound - a much more 'trancey' feel with huge detuned saw strings and an intriguing take on the lead.

Drawing on progressive house influences, this is A/B Project's first foray into the more relaxed side of dance music. Floating synths abound, with arpeggiated support instruments and gentle house-style percussion. Although more relaxed in nature, the track still contains a solid driving bassline, growling synths and a compelling lead.

In an about-turn to usual proceedings Steve Anderson provides the remix for this package, delivering a D&B-inspired bassline interspersed with growling synths and ear candy. The breakdown proves entirely serene, with atmospheric additions to delight the ear, the bassline bursting back with the gratifying weight.

Although the album edit was never part of the release and was never released in single-form at all (only ever appearing on the album), it will be presented here anyway. Drawing all elements from the original, the main change is instantly recognisable as the prominent bassline rooting the track much more firmly in the dancefloor.

The remix features the distinctive BRM style, with dirty synths in the intro and outro book-ending the blissful breakdown and main section. Rich, warm strings are peppered with gorgeous piano notes while the standard lead is replaced with a unique instrument and an altered meter, surprising the listener at the drop.

Not one to settle for the standard 'trance' sound, this remix swaps out the often clichéd offbeat bass for a strong arpeggiated bassline and driving synths. The melody has been overhauled, turning the lead on it's head and giving the entire feel of the track a much more uplifting tilt.

The title track of the EP features a memorable burbling bassline to tickle the ear, lending it a playful feel. Energy is kept high throughout, with soaring detuned strings slowly being added to retain the trance quality. The breakdown comprises swooping gates chords, complex lead and the obligatory A/B Project piano.

Relentless, as the name suggests is an altogether different affair, consisting of tribal percussion and bass and dirty stabs to fill any club. The dirt is non-stop and is piled on in heaps, until the strikingly contradictory breakdown, bringing gentle serenity. The energy is once more built and you are returned to the agressive feel of the main section, only to be surprised once more, where the ugly and the beautiful are united.

Icone remixes Another time to round out the release. He trances the track up, introducing the melody early and providing an epic-length breakdown and classic Icone lead.
