Following the huge success of her debut release "City Bird", playlisted across the BBC Introducing network and picking up fans such as Nick Grimshaw, Greg James, Clara Amfo and David Rodigan along the way, Nottingham’s Bud delivers her new pop/reggae single "Sugar". Leaning heavily on her love of traditional Jamaican music (thanks to her Jamaican mother), the dub reggae stylings melt easily into her rich pop influences such as Amy Winehouse, Paulo Nutini and Lorde, creating a unique style with her soaring voice complementing the deep bass perfectly. Written and produced by Bud and her brother in their home studio, you could easily be mistaken for thinking this was recorded in deepest Kingston with a selection of JA's finest veteran session musicians.

Having had a busy summer of playing festivals such as The Great Escape, Boomtown, Splendour and Y Not, as well as a main stage appearance at Bestival (sharing the stage with both Dizzee Rascal and Rag'N'Bone man!), plus a hugely popular support slot on Hollie Cook's recent London show, Bud is now fully focussed on delivering new music to her quickly growing army of fans. Soon to embark on a headline gig at Vietnam's Monsoon Festival, her dream as a young child of making people around the world smile with her music seems to be slowly coming true.
