The Oasis (in Time) is a portal where the distant past blends with eons from the now, creating a present moment that lasts 17 million years.   Our high tech sensors with their vibrating organic membranes and calibrated re-oscillating cylinders have successfully captured the sensation of a dance contest from 45 million years from now, at the Oasis night club, which is down the street from the portal itself.
... and we've always wanted to use this Saidi rhythm (common Middle Eastern rhythm)with the variation where you skip the first beat of the sequence.   Thats why theres extra time before the drop, because it comes in on the "and" of one.

An inter-dimensional portal carved in the rock face of two distinct locations on Earth allows ancient peoples to dance to each others' music on different sides of the globe.

Tuluminance

The Silk Path starts in India with the tablas supplying a good deal of low end funk, then the clarinet takes you to Turkey and the Sandouri brings you to Greece.  In the end the clavinet and bass bring you back to Chicago!

Flying High uses a home made thumb piano whose tines are made out of a garden rake for the main melody.  Eve's flute adds more melodic lines.  The melodies are shifted higher or lower and layered with assorted psychedelia.

Omorphology, to us, refers to the study of beauty, and what makes certain things beautiful, in music, art, and life in general.

Omorphology

Eve stands on a desert rock formation surrounded by scientists.  Her clarinet is wired up to a large mainframe computer which transmits the notes she plays into deep space via a large radio dish.  As she plays, the sky becomes electric as a large mothership comes into view.  It responds with its own ancient melody, using its propulsion system to create an atmospheric wind instrument.

Byzantine Time Machine's sonic manipulation laboratory has been in Humboldt park, Chicago since the earth year 2002AD.  Occasionally our experiments are enhanced by the natural low frequencies(>50hz) of low-riders driving slowly through the neighborhood.

WELCOME TO CHICAGO

A broken time portal to an alternate universe leaves 2 scientists trapped in a Sultan's palace where they befriend the court musicians and plot an escape.   In the end they decide to stay for a while as the sultan is really cool and loves the saxophone.  Court musicians composed this song to commemorate the saga of the time traveling duo, and the song premiered at the Sultan's honorary BTM gala event.

Yes, we are called Byzantine Time Machine, but we don't always go back in time to the Byzantine era to explore musical possibilities. The Time Machine experienced a funky glitch and brought us to the 1970's, where we naturally gravitated towards a folk dance that the natives called "Disco."   Our longtime buddy Forrest Roush managed to squeeze a few guitars and our old Ensoniq EPS 16+ sampler, through the time portal.  We then co-produced this song with our sampler giving us the technological advantage.  We entered "Tonight is the Night" in a contest to create the best wedding song, but we lost the competition to a Swedish folk dance named "Dancing Queen." Oh well, we still think ours is a pretty hooky little jam!

  We didn't know either until this song materialized right before our ears.  Rupak Man is an odd character with a long beard who travels the world beating out his unique rhythm on any drum he can find.
