Berlin based Introversion debuts on CONCEPTS OF TIME with three atmospheric exercises in polyrhythm, syncopation and melody. „Create“ fuses stomping drums with lush pads, which are reworked by Labelhead HOURS into a driving summer tool. Kevin De Vries transforms the twisted drumming of „Development“ into a energetic stomper, while Chris Hirose emphasizes the pensive aspects of „Aftermath“’s melodies in his Edit.

Hailing from Greece, Corvum delivers two hypnotic and melodic Originals on Concepts Of Time. Reggy Van Oers takes us a step deeper in his Remix of Occult Perception. Oracular Procedure gets reworked by HOURS into one of his trademark polyrhythmic „Abrasive Dubs“. The release is rounded of by two deep Reworks of Occult Perception by Christian Gerlach, Path I and Path II.

COT010 - HOURS - COCYTUS

Cocytus, meaning "the river of wailing“, is a river in the underworld in Greek mythology. It flows into the river Acheron, across which is the underworld, the mythological abode of the dead. Dante describes Cocytus in Inferno as being the home of traitors and those who committed acts of complex fraud. The river of wailing is divided into four arms:

Antenora, after Antenor from the Iliad; traitors to country.
Judecca, after Judas Iscariot; traitors to masters and benefactors.
Caina, after the Biblical Cain; traitors to blood relatives.
Ptolomea, after Ptolemy, governor of Jericho, who murdered his guests (1 Maccabees); traitors to guests.

Based on these assumptions COT labelhead HOURS crafted three pensive tracks, one of which was reinterpreted by Brian Sanhaji.

Space - continuously evolving and growing. Experiencing it has been described as transcendently magical, deeply prosaic and disturbingly noisy. Once out there, there is no way to anticipate the emotional impact of looking down at Earth.

Simo Lorenz first Vinyl on COT digs very deep into space inspired sound frames.
„A1 - Space Program“ is dominated by its hypnotic and groovy bassline and ethereal distorted vocal transmissions, while „A2 - Heliosphere" is a stripped down flow of punching particles.
 
Flug's Interpretation commands attention through its detailed drum work and a tasteful reduction of the source material. Contrasting is HOURS’ Restructure, which is a dark, brooding and noisy take on the A-Side woven around a toolish structure.

„D1 - Ascent“ is an ambient retelling of a soaring climb through the atmosphere towards space. Finally “D2 - Lost in Orbit", a massive stomper, rounds up the release with its driving rhythms and effective impact.
