A little mix I did for our End Of Season Party on board. Hope you enjoy it.

Every now and again I get to play in some pretty unique places. This was a beach club session in Tivat with my crew. For someone who does not call himself a DJ. I do OK :-).

A Tivat Odyssey

New Years Eve mix played in a unique place. Some of some new.

A little bit muddled in places as increasingly drunk people talked to me, made requests etc. But it mostly went well. Mix abruptly ends at 11:58pm to stream Auld Lang Syne and i'm out!

This is a little something I recorded before I depart for Turkey, it was recorded on Easter Sunday. It has an accompanying video which will get linked at some point. It's very proggy. Enjoy.

Easter Mix

After Lungo comes Niño :-).

Had a crazy full moon day here. Worked like a loon. Threw this together at 10pm. Peak Full Moon.

The Full Moon was an interesting one as it was in Gemini. Mars(the power planet) was in Aquarius and Jupiter(lucky) was in Libra. This is an Air Sign Trifecta of some note.

The next time you hear someone moaning about Astrology. Put your headphones on and listen to this.

There is something very cool about London. You can hear quality music in all of the places you would not expect it. Ubers. Public Transport. Shops. Supermarkets. Corner stores. Heady stuff.

An Extensive Review from my Espanolo. El Fuerte.

So I listened the whole thing yesterday. I don’t like dance music but you didn’t like football when you “watched” that game. 1 hour and 20 minutes is like a football game with extra time and penalties, but it’s OK. Now we are 1-1.
If I got it right this is a kind of weird experiment, so here are my comments:
First of all. Deckhand?!?! Really? You joined the dark side long time ago young SkyMcConnell. Just look at your facebook profile picture. You even have a mug. By the way make sure you take a lid for that mug if you go out on deck with it.

Then I saw the title in Spanish so I was kind of forced to listened it.  I was looking random things in internet and playing a video game at the same time, but I did it. I think the longest song I’ve ever listened is the cover of “Sympathy for the Devil” from Guns N’ Roses, and that is around 7 and a half minutes including all the “U-WHOs” at the end. This was more than ten times longer so I think it was a good effort.

Considering that I never listen to this kind of music I have to say that I enjoyed it. I don’t know if it’s good or not but who cares. My favourite part is around the 52nd minute when that robotic frog sings in Spanish:”Ya acabé, ya acabé…” Very optimistic considering there was still half an hour to finish.

I only was a bit disappointed about the end. I was expecting a Grand Finale. But I don’t have a clue about this so I don’t know how it should end.
I hope you enjoyed making that mix at least as much as I enjoyed listening it. Hopefully more.

Luna llena en Géminis

A mix made in the heart of the north. During Midsommar no less. 

It was made for the many road trips we have ahead of us. Mix is a bit lazy/long because of this. It was also recorded with my mixer on top of Darios clip on baby seat in the kitchen of a one bedroom flat in a pretty grim part of Newcastle.

Recorded Sun in Gemini on the Full moon in Rhodes, Greece.

The story behind this mix. The last couple of house parties we have had I have had to have a little disco nap. Upon awaking I have had a little mix this is pretty much what you could expect to hear even a really rough part where i've started telling or listening to an elaborate story and have fluffed it a bit. But never mind. Moments like these are the meaning of life.

This mix is a spiritual successor to Electro Technology, a mix done five years ago in a similar winter of discontent.

Done in one. I am not happy with the end or the start but like my current situation. I will write a happy ending and a new beginning you might not hear about it.

Metamour

A little something I knocked up today whilst pretending to work to celebrate me going to Prague for the ABGT350 weekender. I have two very special friends joining me. One I have known for a long time and one for not so long. 

There is nothing like an old friend and there is nothing like making new friends. There is also nothing like getting your old friends and new friends to meet each other.

Prague is the capital of the ancient kingdom of Bohemia. I visited there 10 years ago and always said I would go back. What I write becomes real.

I am still not over 2019, this is my way of saying goodbye.

2020 is a new Decade. A new 12-year cycle. A new beginning.

This mix goes a few different places with some songs that have resonated with me over 2019. There are a couple of oldies in there and I've played with my mixer a bit more than usual. I hope you enjoy.
