Dilemma Podcast #044 Paula Cazenave from San Sebastian-Donostia (Spain) If we talk about Paula Cazenave, we talk about Techno and a long career.
Born in San Sebastian-Donostia (North of Spain) and settled in Barcelona since 2003, Paula has been walking her case since the late 90s through the best venues and festivals in Spain, Europe and South America, highlighting her presence in such important events as Awakenings, DGTL, Brunch in the Park, Dreambeach, Aquasella ...

Her beginnings were spent combining her studies of audiovisual production and sound technician with events on weekends in venues throughout the Basque Country. When she moved to Barcelona, she started DJing and organizing parties with local collectives in venues such as La Cova, making an important place for herself on the Barcelona scene until today.

As an artist, we find ourselves in front of a real DJ, without frills. Her sessions are built in the purest old school style: Technique, fast and smart mixes, versatility and eclecticism. She is characterized by hooking the listener on a journey without rest that can encompass everything from groove to dark and raw sounds, always with that unmistakable signature. We cannot classify Paula in a specific Techno sub-style, but we can say that we are talking, most of the time, of forcefulness. From her beginnings, she was influenced from artists as diverse as James Ruskin, The Advent, Ben Sims, Surgeon or Slam, to name a few. We are talking about an artist in constant evolution who has known how to adapt to the times, always faithful to Techno.

In her role as a producer, we go back to the middle of 2000, when she began to edit Techno productions on vinyl in the international market. Her works during the past decades alone and with A. Professor with other akas such as Daisychain and Secret Labz paid off, thus achieving a more important place on the international scene with European tours and major festivals. It is also worth mentioning the vinyl references that came out on her first label Grind Records, whose first release had a great success in 2009 until it sold out, receiving the support of many influential DJs on the scene. We can find his productions in a large number of European labels till today.

Since 2017, she has been immersed in the management of her Combine Audio record label where they have released works by recognized Techno artists such as Ben Sims, Ken Ishii, DJ Shufflemaster, Patrik Skoog, Gayle San ... along with more established and emerging artists. Combine Audio has carved a niche for itself on the national techno label scene and has received the support of many artists worldwide. As she well says "This label is not for me, it is for everyone" and with it she intends to support many national artists to keep the scene alive and make it grow.

The history of music of the 90s knows him as "The Human Bassline" for his unique and avant-garde style of Acid Techno, original in all its forms. He has released songs with some of the most important Italian techno labels such as: ACV Records, Hot Trax Records, Sor Records, releasing on vinyl. He remixed songs by Dave Clarke, Steve Pointdexter, Paul Johnson. He has also mixed many compilations, such as "The Sound Of Rome, Vol. 2". He has played in numerous events, raves and clubs in Italy and Europe . In 2011 he made 2 vinyl tracks for the Minimum Syndicat label, and
another Ep also on vinyl on Techno Vinyls Records label,
he then founded one of him the digital label "Luminar Records".
Today he produces his music with some of the most representative labels of the techno scene such as Gynoid Audio, Elektrax Recordings, Naked Lunch, Darknet, Counter Pulse, Cobine Audio, Focus Records and many more.

Dilemma Podcast 072 Gotshell from Colombia. @Gotshell aka Alessan Main, is the great ambassador of the scene of the Colombian electronic music. After its first release on the legendary Techno label, Planet Rhythm in 2014, more than 10 releases, 12¨, came out on labels like Nachtstrom Schallplatten, EPM music and James Ruskin's Blueprint. His Remixes on two of the more historical bases of acid techno, Synewave and Missile Records,They caught the attention of many of the key DJs on the scene. What Carl Cox, who hired him at Intec under his alias Alessan Main. Other Soto's project, was the collaboration with Dantiez Saunderson in Kms Records, Kevins Saundersons label.
Unpredictable rhythms, chaotic and psychedelic soundscapes
describes his live sets that have regularly taken him to each part of his country of origin, Colombia and a successful European tour last year (2017) which started at the Tresor Club, Berlin.
Inspired by the first wave of old school techno, it mixes the advanced sound of the genre and expands deeper into even more electronic and instrumental music styles like IDM,ambient, experimental, dub, just to name a few examples.

Born in Santander but a globetrotter all his life, living in places like Belgrade, Oslo, Tarragona and currently living in the province of Barcelona, Étam is a humble lover of electronic music since he was a child, progressing along this path until he discovered techno deeper and darker where it found its place.
Étam is characterized by making long mixes of the tracks, giving prominence to equalization, in order to take advantage of the music and try to create a sound journey for the listener.
In 2022 he founded his own record label which he runs with his brother Jorge, where they try to gain a foothold in the difficult Techno scene where the labels of established artists themselves predominate.
In 2024 they released their first vinyl signed by the Argentine artist KØLPØS, in June the second reference in this format will be released, this time signed by the Italian artist Pyramidal Decode.
At Loopaina Records they are very committed to autism, given that they experience it very closely, so much so that the label donates part of its profits to support causes that help children with this condition.

At the age of 3, HUJUS started playing the piano and got exposed to many different genres like Pop, RnB and Jazz. Lorena was born near Kassel ( Germany) and grew up in a musical family and discovered her passion for electronic music already in the middle of the 80’s ( New Order, Jean-Michel Jarre,...).
At the end of the 90‘s, she got involved with the techno scene of the legendary club „Aufschwung Ost“/ „Stammheim“, where she got to see many great artists ( Jefff Mills, Richie Hawtin, DJ Rush among others) playing live and since then she developed an enthousiasm for dark Techno, in particular Hypnotic, Experimental and Sci-Fi Techno.

Dilemma Podcast 138 Gonzo MDF from Munich (Germany). The Dj, Producer and co-founder of the label Counterweight was born in the 80s in Andalucia (Spain) and is since 2010 based in Munich.
After years playing records and organizing underground events in the city, in 2016 Marco H
and Gonzo founded the party series and record label “Counterweight”. The legendary party
took place at the stunning Rote Sonne for 7 years. Since the beginning, Counterweight was
characterized for its “rough and purist sound” and they focused the bookings on acts that
didn't play in the city before such as Dax J, Stranger, Sunil Sharpe or Freddy K, just to name
a few.
The Spanish artist has released several solo EP’s in Counterweight imprint as well as
appearances in other international labels such as Obscuur Records, RUDE Trax, Enotaktik

In 1993 Duniz started spinning records for the first time. He quickly became resident DJ at a small underground club in his hometown of Bielefeld. In 2001 he and his companion Henrixx started their first releases on Anthony Rother's label, further releases on Zombie Nation and Stammheim Legende Pierre labels followed.
After many more gigs and working in a club, Duniz took some time off to focus on family. In 2022 Duniz came back and started producing again. He started working together with Nadine Fehn and Marcel Huldt for their label Klangtrauma Records. In January 2025 Duniz started his own Imprint “Equal”, as a platform for artists that love raw, hypnotic Techno with a dose of groove.
Duniz is currently releasing on many recognised labels, a small selection is below, as well as a short overview of some of the clubs he has played in.

Mariam Croft is a Spanish DJ and producer based in La Rioja, whose passion for music began at a very young age when she studied at the music conservatory, eventually becoming an elementary piano teacher.

Her first encounters with electronic music took place in the 2000s, combining her vinyl sets with some live performances.

She has shared events with renowned DJs such as The Advent, Cristian Varela, Misstress Barbara, Pet Duo, Gayle San, Marco Bailey, Kazu Kimura, Fatima Hajji, and many others. She has played in major venues like Fabric, La Metro, Universal, La Real, Basic, Pacha, and many more across Spain.

She has produced music with prestigious record labels such as Pornographic Recordings, Virgin Records, Kiko Vinilo Rec, The Other Face, Survivor Rec, and her own label, Sasa2 Recordings, which was exclusively released on vinyl.

Currently, she performs vinyl-only sets, digital sets, or a combination of both.

It’s no surprise that all of his tracks have a human rights or political message behind them. Furthermore he is resident DJ at Berliner event series Art Bei Ton and one of the selected artist's from Berliner electronic music platform NovaFuture.

His journey began with the release of 'The DATA EP' on Testin Out Records, which caught the attention of influential figures such as Andrew Weatherall, Radioactive Man, Regis, and DJ Bone. As both a producer and DJ, Darkmode quickly rose to prominence, earning recognition from prestigious platforms like DJ MAG's Pick N' Mix and IDJ Magazine's Raw Talent Selection. 

His DJ sets have graced numerous parties, raves, and festivals across the UK & Ireland, where he has shared the stage with esteemed artists including Radioactive Man, Ben Long, Phil Kieran, Marco Bailey, Ignition Technician, Bas Mooy, DJ 3000, Scan 7, and Dave Clarke. She began her training in the world of mixing at different academies in late 2022. Since then, she has participated in various clubs and academies. She has participated in clubs and series such as Bahrein, Vox, Fungi Techno, Fractal by Tcq, among others.

She has shared the booth with major artists from the local scene such as Kolpos, Udolph, Lucas Sosa, and May Mclaren, to name a few.

In 2024, she founded the event production company Exoteryka, which held its first club-format event with a successful impact on the scene. This year, it held its second edition with the same success.

XZXZX111 is constantly incorporating new tools, currently embarking on her journey into music production. In each performance and set, XZXZX111 seeks to generate a journey through different subgenres of techno, maintaining a musical line based on hypnotic sounds. His vision is to take the audience through different mental states, prioritizing the transmission of energy of enjoyment and body freedom, adapting to each moment of the dance floor.

Dilemma Podcast #027 Errorbeauty from London (England) Bulgarian born, London-Berlin based Errorbeauty has been meticulously piecing together her impressive catalogue of releases since beginning Djing back in 2003.A professional flute musician by way of background, she gradually became drawn to electronic music’s intricately textured soundscapes - more specifically the broken, aggressive shades of Detroit Electro and Techno.
Her work continues to evolve and offers listeners a distinct reflection of Motor City’s relationship with the genre whilst demonstrating her own unique perspective of Electro, which brought her twice to the legendary Tresor Club for Berlin Atonal.
Last year she has performed at Berlin’s underground well respected event series Skizze in OHM as well as Bold, Exquisite Berlin and Disobedient Circumstance at Suicide Circus Berlin to name a few..
Errorbeauty has previously released music for Arkada,Earthlings,Crobot Muzik,Combat Recordings,Section 27,Subsonic Device,The Electro Compendium,Outlaw 303 and has contributed a track together with Serge Geyzel for the upcoming Pyramid Transsmisions PTV15 compilation and another track of her own on Zwaartekracht 3. 
Together with XOR12, she recently launched the new electro/techno record label Arkada Records.
