This live mix was from a Thursday night party called XenoConception, loosely structured around a narrative in my head about a small xenozygote wiggling its way through the cosmos looking for a mate (or three, or eight) and the adventures it had along the way, replete with chance interactions and changes of direction as with the party itself. There are times when your ass needs to cash the checks your mouth wrote. After 17 years digital, it was time to mix an all-vinyl set, thanks to Brit's 90s black light birthday rave. There were train wrecks but it was fun and a massive adrenaline rush when I landed a mix right. (This is not the live set, but the test mix with the same rekkids, recorded at home.)

❤️‍🔥 Sunday night in Seattle means one thing: Flammable. For 30 years, Flamm has been our friends&fam tradition of house music to close out the weekend. Weekly dance church, served hot.

This past winter solstice 2023, I played a fun set at Flamm that I decided to whip up into an otter-style 4-hour House buffet, including many tracks I didn't get to play that night. Bon appetit! ❤️‍🔥

Opening set for "A Night in the Desert with Bottom Forty," Friday night, BAAAHS @ Comfort&Joy, Burning Man 2018. Opening for Stormy Roxx, Nark, Tim Sweeney, Kodemul, Mr. TC and Jennifer Cardini.  I kept Ultra's fire dancing announcements because I fucking LOVE Ultra. 

The set starts with a special tribute to Larry Harvey (RIP) at the beginning,  from his documentary "Burning Man" (1991), talking about the origin of the event in 1985, from which I learned that the event literally started on my birthday (I won't say which one).

Thanks to Kevin/Nark for bringing me back on and finally finding the recording after 8 months! To BAAAHS for having us, to Comfort&Joy for hosting the fire performance & opening. There is no liberation movement for LGBTQ people without our Black&Brown leaders and elders.
