This week we are welcoming @MichaelJames and presenting a 1h cut from his latest night at Sonder London, in which he delivers what he really feels, his most pure style with no filters at all, feeling like home at one of his London residencies. Also in this episode we can enjoy the renovated visual show experience made by Acid Thermal where he has put together a journey inspired by the rave movement back on the early nineties. You cannot miss it!

Why Michael James?

￼2017 was a big year for Michael James with his many releases on Constant Sound and their vinyl only sub label Constant Black hitting the top spot on the bestsellers charts. Every release Michael has done has sold out, and sold quickly, gaining support from artists ranging from the likes of iO (Mulen), Apollonia, Barac, Dana Ruh, @Enzo Siragusa and Thomas Melchior/Melchior Productions Ltd between others.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Perlon artists, Ricardo Villalobos and Thomas Franzmann aka Zip, Michael has become an enviable vinyl collector, and has forged an underground sound out of his own fusing elements of dub minimal, house, and techno.

He’s roots started at very young age at the selected spot Underground Ibiza where he has gained support from the industries bests. Today hosts a residency at The Zoo Project, also in Ibiza.

Today I’d like to remember the great time we had with @Alex-Picone, the guys from @PluralMusik, @CraveMusik, and @ArtesFOUN at Red58. Was nice to see how people enjoyed starting early in the evenings: a hotel closeby, with a superb art exhibition, lots of visual artists, and of course spinning some records alongside Crave, @Jjvvaann from Eightsquare, @HalleyFOUN and myself.

This week we are welcoming July Z and presenting a 1h cut from the studio set he made exclusively for us, in which he delivers his genuine groovy and fresh canarian style. 

It’s been a great year for July Z, debuting with this great aka in the whole European underground house scene, launching his fourth vinyl release after just one year. He told us his main goal is to release in his own label

and make some collabs of just one cut with some friends who he believes would match the sound vision. That was the case of the last release he made along with @whoisJulenn.

The personal growth this artist has experienced in the last years left us all amazed, both his talent and productivity, representing his unique sound vision. He told us in his own words “I did this label to create music without being false-worried to fit the sound of one label or another”, just to show his most personal side. Spoilering a bit his next release, it will be Mr Blume, with an edit by @Ray_Mono, a great british producer. 

Also we want to mention that his solo project, July Z, received great support by Javier @Carballo, @Rossko, @BenRauMusic, @DiegoKrause, @Rowlaz or @HanfryMartinez, some of the artists who already took part in our show and gigs in the past.

We couldn’t be prouder to host and welcome Albert Romero aka Dafoe one of our local talents and with a great artistic path in the Barcelona’s underground scene with a solid residency in Nitsa Club at Sala Apolo from early 2012 and also founder of @what-if-music label. 

Along with its rhythms, we have seen him sharing nights along artists such as Fumiya Tanaka, Craig Richards, Julian Perez, Binh or Voigtmann among others, performing in some of the best clubs in the world such as Club Der Visionäre, Hoppetosse, Parker Lewis, RED58, Club Mago in Japan to name a few..

Dafoe is well known in Barcelona for its magic dj sets with minimal and eclectic vibes that make the clubber get so deep in full journeys full of deep basses and hypnotic atmospheres. 

As a special record selector and with more than 10 years of experience behind the plates, he provides the right selection to always set the right tone. In this case, Dafoe delivers to us a studio set with some housy touches that brings this particular journey a more colorful and alive vibe. 

Mentioning also that this year he’s gonna make an extended Tour over South America from January 16th to February 20th and traveling around Perú, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. 

From early January 16th we will be able to listen and see him live from the Project Media studios in Lima and the next day with Mélancolie at Club FUGA and from these two gigs, he won’t stop for the whole tour.
