happy to present another 9 tracks, most of them written in the last 2 years, some a while before .
Ponderosa is named after the biggest pine trees on the ridge i could see outside my studio window, and the title song was started just before i found out i would become a dad <3
A lot of these have been written since i left the city to live back in the mountains, and have a smoother feeling representing the serenity of reconnecting with life closer to wilderness. Bird song, running water, crackling fire and instruments can be heard throughout the tracks.

Stoked to include 2 collabs, one with my long time friend Oddwan who came over to spend some time riding the mountains with me, and another with Congi, a big musical inspiration, started while one of them stayed at my house for a week a while back as we did some shows together. Big up!

Its been a ride for me the last couple of years, and some of these have been basically done for a moment now! But i tend to many things, family being in the forefront now, along with growing food, cultivating my spirit and building webs of community.

May this music feed your heart and soul, and take you on beautiful journeys.

I offer this with sincerity, from the heart, in honour of creation and beauty, family and friends, the generosity of our earth, and the magic breathing web of life we are all a part of .

We are honoured to share our first collaborative album with you all today! Its been in the works since late last summer. The bulk of these tracks were written over the fall time, and almost all of them were recorded over a 7 day period in BC in early october, to be polished and completed over the following months.
Writing this album paired for me with some incredible life trials, and at certain points really helped me keep going. I was so inspired and stoked about it that it helped me move through some deeply challenging situations while teaching me a lot.
This sharing feels like a big new beginning ,
hoping that this music will bring you good vibes and inspiration!

I had heard a lot about this legendary venue, and it was pretty much the top bucket list of mine to play there. I was soooo stoked when I got the invite from Of the Trees to support ! Being a new father this year, I only took a few select shows and this was one of them :)

Having never been to this venue, I was mindblown by the beauty of the huge rock walls up on this majestic mountain. Cruising the tunnels beneath the venue , I felt so honored to share a stage with so many music legends . It’s very special to be a lil drop in the ocean of musicians, and I’m so grateful to all the magic that lined up to make this possible.

A big portion of the set was unreleased new music , and I had a bunch left by the time it was over ! That hour sure went by quickly once I got into it ( I was def nervous and excited about this one hah)

As usual, I didn’t plan out the set and just showed up with a bunch of tunes ready to drop. 
That morning however I distinctly felt Charles speaking to me when I woke up , and decided I absolutely had to open with our collab. I hadn’t fully realized how much his energy and vibe were floating around that night until I shouted him out.
The other tune I had promised myself to play was the last one of the set , which in my heart is a tune dedicated to my daughter , and the family life I now have.
These 2 songs really made the opening and closing of my performance feel profoundly special❤️❤️❤️

So here it is ! The first time I played at red rocks for you to relive or experience of you didn’t make it :)

This one felt like a good one to share because it was the most spontaneous of the tracks on the album. During our week together we had many beats to work with that i had been working on since late august, but one day, i created the basic idea for this one while Finnoh was polishing up some ideas in his headphones. He saw me bouncing to this beat at my studio table and got me to play it. He pretty instantly started freestyling ideas and we got really excited about this one. In about two days we had a solid rendition of this one, wich was super inspiring to us both.
A few months of minor polishing later,, hahah

shambhala minimix - bc artist spotlight 2019

Sometime in the late spring of 2018, I had a chance between shows to stop over and hang out with Charles in Tahoe. He scooped me from my flight in reno, and we hit the road. One of the places we stopped on the way was Mt Rose. 
This track reminds me of how nice it was to get to relax and hang out for a few days outside of our typical shows and tour life. It's one of those jams from a night where everything feels all good, where you just fire up the studio and make music straight up for the enjoyment of it.

I tried on existing with the stress of "needing to figure out how to redesign my career" to make it more "worth(?) it" without shows , the thought maybe i need more followers and more posts and more likes , to be "better(?)" or "bigger(?)"
Some days i'd open the studio door and wonder : "is this officially an office job now???? really, is it???
Is music but a product to be sold in some capitalist system?
Fuck no.
the studio to me is meant to be a temple, a safe-haven for expression and creativity.
this music is a gift to be shared. it's a vibe that has connected people for times immemorial, in continuously evolving forms. so much bigger than any individual.

I wanna take a moment to say thank you if you've been a listener, and if this music has moved you or inspired you, that means the most to me.
You're more than just another follower or like , you're part of this world with me.

Our world is going through some crazy times, and  i think it is very important for us to question the ways we relate to each other as humans, and what our true value systems are. Each of us has an input on reality.

Ive been putting out music on solstice for years now, but had to take some deep moments this year for myself to remember...
i love music, creating is a pleasure to me, and i love sharing it as well
i believe we are all connected through this web of life
