Haxo is Jeanne on the double bass and Aurélien (aka Background) on the synths and drum machine. Based in Paris and both members of the SeekSickSound crew, they started this new project in 2017 with a live set that shaped the foundations of Haxo: largely improvised, their sound is raw and takes equal cues from noise, the improv scene and bass music, filtered through a post-punk ethos. Freitags Variété is their first EP, due to be released in September through bahnhof::zoo's Nidali Records. Recorded in August 2017, its five tracks were born out of improvisation sessions, then slowly processed and refined for 9 months.
