Canadian vocalist Melleefresh and UK producer Hectic join forces for an album's worth of house bangers, The Play Deep Sessions.

Production began two years ago when Mellee and Hectic met to collaborate on the track Snap It at Play Deep Studios in London. They continued to work on new tracks over the next two years whenever Mellee was in the UK, culminating in a week-long session late last year.

The fruit of their endeavours is now ready for the dance floor and your listening pleasure.

Additional works on this release include the chill Cactus 196 Synth Jam Remix of Snap It and the club mix of the sole techno track on the album, Sonic State.

UK producer Hectic makes his Play debut with Silk, a 4-track EP of hypnotic house and techno bangers.

"All four of these tracks are built around the same concept," explains Hectic. "Four or five different layers of sound to create a constantly changing vibe."

Having collected an array of new synths and drum machines over the past year, Hectic puts them to good use on Silk. "I used the Arturia Minibrute 2S a lot on Distant World and Love You."

Inspired by Flying Lotus' approach to hip hop and breaks, Hectic applies a similar technique to dance music, creating a melodic and impactful fusion of analog and digital.

Canadian dance diva Melleefresh and UK house producer Hectic are back together with the house banger Snap It.

Sexy and hard-hitting, Snap It is a fantastic follow-up to the duo's first collaboration, Todos, released earlier this year.

Snap It is the first of two tracks recorded during a production session at Play Deep Studios in London. Look for the next track, Push Out, early next year.

Recorded at Play Deep Studios in October 2022, the house music banger Push is the second of four session releases from Canadian dance diva Melleefresh and UK house producer Hectic.

Sexy and trippy, Push takes much of its musical influence from mid-90s EDM, specifically its use of the TR-909.

Push follows in the footsteps of Snap It, the pair's previous release from this session, and Todos, the track that began their collaborative efforts.

UK producer Hectic returns to London's Play Deep Studios and is joined by Canadian electro queen Melleefresh to deliver this sexy dance banger that defies all genres.

"I was looking to make a trap house track with a bit more of a club vibe to it," explains Hectic. "Experimented with some strings sounds and then the brass and marching band elements came together."

With a little bit of house and a little bit of techno, Squeeze Me is a fierce and emotional, if somewhat unusual, work of dance music.

A.D.I.D.A.S., Remixed is the second of eight remix packs off house producer Kardano's 2022 album Art of Tones, with breathy vocals from collaborator Melleefresh.

Kicking off the pack is Melleefresh's own bouncy house remix, followed by an equally upbeat house remix from the UAE's DJ Gangster. South Korea's Deep Rooted Tree gives the work a laid-back vibe on his hiphop/trap remix. Canadian producer KuntyBeatz picks it back up with pumping energy to his dance remix. UK producer Hectic breaks the mold with an eclectic underground dance remix, while Scottish producer Hotknife adds a funky retro vibe on his jackin' house remix. And Italy's Feed closes out the collection with a piano-driven indie dance remix.
