This is the story of an instrument wrought from the raw sounds of war and moments of everyday life under its shadow. Recorded in Kyiv and the Carpathian Mountains during the spring of 2022 by Ukrainian artist Histibe. Sound designed and crafted into a living virtual instrument. Swords to Ploughshares is a concept in which military weapons are converted for peaceful civilian applications.

This library offers the artist’s unique vantage point during a transformative place and time in their life and the world around them. His goal is to transmute an act of oppression into a tool for expression. It is not meant to be a definitive, unbiased, unvarnished or complete representation of the artist’s entire experience or those around him. It is intended as a work of constructive and reusable sonic art. It is a dim and hazy window into another human’s personal experience, crafted with the simple hope that it serves and inspires your own creative process.

It includes field recordings made in and around his hometown and during a temporary evacuation in the mountains during the heaviest period of shelling near his house. The subject matter includes the everyday sounds of his life and his city, quickly adapting to war time and often punctuated by blasts and the wail of air raid sirens. It explores the gentle sounds of nature in the mountains made all the more surreal by eerily distorted late-night shortwave radio broadcasts filling the airwaves.

Avant-garde heartbeats of modern electronic music with carefully-constructed synthesizers and innovative musical elements are the basis for the new 6-track EP titled “No Chains on the Moon” released by Histibe, a successful producer and songwriter from Kiev, Ukraine. This sonic treasure is otherworldly and implements elements of Hip-Hop, Rock and Indietronica to tell a story of personal advancement and personal revolution. Like his previously released album “Millennium Drum N Bass", No Chains on the Moon’s artwork was designed by the world-famous Joe Perez who just designed Nicki Minaj’s “The Pinkprint” album cover, and works for Kanye West, Lil Wayne and many other top tier North American artists.

My new album METAL SUNRISE is out today.

I began working on it in 2022. It’s an experimental journey that blends progressive electronic music with the cinematic energy of film soundtracks.

Every place and time has its own sound—and this album is no exception. It was composed using my custom virtual instrument, built from real audio recordings captured during the war in Ukraine between 2022 and 2025. The sounds of city streets, air raids, quiet nights, and chaotic days became tools of expression and transformation.

The cover art reflects this idea: shards of metal or distant stars—symbols of both destruction and light. METAL SUNRISE is about contrast: silence and sound, darkness and clarity, despair and resilience. Each track is a spark—a new beginning.

Serene Peaks is a mini-album recorded in the 2015-2018 period by Kyiv-based audiovisual artist Histibe and British music producer Subsets which also includes co-production from Detroit-based musician Turing and vocals from Lika Bugaeva (Zetetics).

This body of work can be can be described as modern deep electronic music.

A box of sonic emotions which contains various compositions juggling between down-tempo and up-tempo beats gives a clear vision of multi-genre EP with the merging of two distinct artists styles.

This is a mix of atmospheric organic and cold electronic sounds with elements of Dubstep, Garage, Drum & Bass, Breakbeat, and Techno. Moving from one track to another you can find yourself in the depths of the underground or on the peak of the mountain. This visual feeling inspired the title of the project “Serene Peaks”. This is an imaginary cold but beautiful place for a loner with a hope and belief in the better tomorrow.

In addition to 22 minutes of four audio tracks, you can find a 2-minute original visual film (included in the album download as a bonus) produced and directed by Maks Histibe with additional footages from Rowan While.
