Coming straight from the deep skies, "Blueprint" is undoubtedly a Dubstep masterpiece. Three years after the release of his first LP on the label, Dubmentalist makes an unexpected come back with this 16 tracker, and we're all in for a treat! 

Far and wide, this project was conceived, composed and refined with an unfrightened attitude delving into complex and ambitious frequency twisters. Dubmentalist audiolizes deep thoughts, then converts what comes out of his imagination into concrete beasts. A magical cryptic enigma we must resolve.
It's important to mention an additional challenge Dubmentalist came accross. By composing each track on a different note, he reaches out most of the spectrum and tones of the scale.

From the hyptnotic tweets of "Blueprint“ to the plunging melodies of “Supernatural" over to the organic grooves of “Tetrahedron“, this one could very well hold the second part of Dubmentalist's first album "Planetoid". His sound is distinct, effortlessly noticeable. It's a forward-thinking hike we rather enjoy than precipitate.  To intensify the experience, Steven Lorenz, KidOneDrop, Internal Frequency and Rednote comes forward with three unique remixes you will appreciate. This is a serious piece, a ten tracker progression from the "Mild Drugs" to the more deranged and demented side of "Evocation". Reigamortis likes it simple, clean. We are captivated by his accurate percussion patterns, confined in deep and dark surroundings. Continuously refining his musical distinction, "Crawler" is the fruit of combining patience, rigorousness and determination. "Drip" fiercely arranges the mood for the following tracks, malicious hyptnotic flows rising and awakening your auditory sensors. Crawling in with infusions of their own, Digital Monk and Internal Frequency distrubs the natural constancy of the scenary. This is another one for the books !

This release heralds a significant milestone for Iron Shirt Recordings, but also representing both the first album and the first vinyl release for Rednote. With its core ideas and themes written while immersed in Leeds underground music scene and compiled as a final project while secluded on the south coast of England during lockdown.

A sacred place, a place where one is free from intrusion.
The name Sanctum represents an adjective for the escapism of studio sessions during this time as well as the atmospheric and ethereal theme of the album that aims to portray the emotional push and pull of finding stillness while living through intensity.

The physical side of the album showcases the core of the Rednote sound, upfront 140bpm with rolling drums and heavy sub bass, while the digital side contains further exploration of UK bass, jazz and world music influences. Like a sanctuary from the chaos of the world, the album encapsulates moments of introspection and release, echoing the duality of existence: the relentless intensity of life juxtaposed with moments of profound stillness.

Underpinning the albums concept is collaboration with one of Leeds finest rising producers Gnasha, “Onslaught” combining choral atmospherics, harmonic guitar melodies, growling mid basses, heavy sub lines, shuffling percussion and jazzy sampling.

Expanding on the sonic landscape of the album, we delve into remix territories starting with the luminary artist "Biome" delivering an intense rework of "Onslaught," infusing it with his signature style. Meanwhile, the esteemed duo "Dark Entity", lends their expertise to craft a mesmerizing remix of "Outsider." These reinterpretations further enrich the album's tapestry, seamlessly blending with Rednote's original vision to create an immersive auditory experience.

This is a 12-inch Vinyl Sampler featuring only the A and B sides. When you purchase the 12-inch Sampler, you will receive a digital download link of the complete release on its release date, which includes the C side.

From New Zealand, Graysound came to us with this hybrid project, especially designed for his own sound system. This playlist will inevitably push subwoofers to their limits. Even tho the project is vocal intensive, the great balance between electronic and acoustic frequencies forges a distinctive sound. Each track is unique, backed by your classical reggae vibes and a flavour of darkness, it's your choice whether to shift to the other side. Strong bonds and collaborations arise for the creation of this piece, Natty Campbell, Rider Shafique, Wreckage, Dark Entity, SKG's Dub Alliance, Young Gho$t, L Nix and Rains all took part in this journey individually raising the bar higher which increased the potential of each artist in their own area of expertise. One of the newest faces to appear on the ISR roster also steps up to the ISP series, Arkwright. Based out of London Arkwright made a big impression quickly with support from the likes of Beezy, Hatcha, N Type and fellow Kiwis, Truth, you can hear his eyes down style being playing all over the world. His debut release on ISR came in the form of the track Avalon in July 2015, he has also been seen on the likes of Cue Line recs, Imperial Audio and a forthcoming Vinyl release on Trojan. Arkwirght reaches into his impressive dub collection and selects some giant tracks for a heavy weight stomper of mix for ISP004. The great Canadian Bass talents L Nix and Outsider put together an outstanding, deep, dark and  heavy E.P titled The Land Of Ruin, which Iron Shirt Recordings will immortalize on there first 12“ cut to Vinyl, because this one should stay forever, everlasting!

Starting with the title track, The Land Of Ruin sets the standard and momentum of what will follow, a high quality atmospheric, dungeon esc presence with gritty mid tones and unforgiving reece melodies.
The remix by veteran Leon Switch (formerly of Kryptic Minds) delivers his signature sounds while progressing through sub pumping, mid range frequencies that delve into another dimension of darkness. 

Destroying Acheron (LV-426) lets a story unfold through sound. The opening sequence begins, atmospheres, melodies and bass start to progress through time, these events start to unfold with the introduction of a fearful reece that drives the song into the main chapters.

12  Hours To Darkness introduces a hypnotic melody alongside chords and weighty subs. As the title implies, the song begins on a lighter note that gets overtaken, the creatures come out to play, the sirens of the night are out, the intensity grows, the Darkness has taken over.

Finishing of the E.P is City Of Sins. Fueled by the introduction horns, that lead the song and continue to add to the distance that separates good from evil, its the perfect way to end this story, the story of the "Land Of  Ruin", a world with no answers... Bring up them this day of evil, destroy them; destroy them...

One of the most talented upcoming artist you will hear more than once this year, Canadian newcomer IDHS delivered Iron Shirt Recordings a breath taking piece of art set on a golden platter. The E.P titled "Mutated" is not only his debut on Iron Shirt Recordings but also the first tracks he produced under the IDHS alias. 

"Mutant" makes it very clear there wont be any compromise. A perfect build alongside a precise unsettling soundscape mixed up with raw dark atmospheric emotions. A neck breaker when it comes to "Wreckon" that will totally lose your countenance, the composure of your feelings will disintegrate alongside your ability to stand up straight. From the first baseline forward, you are overwhelmed by a stomping sub and a spectacular hollow reverb on the reeses. Continuing the moment, the Iron Shirt Veteran and A&R figure L Nix overwhelmed us by taking on and delivering a remix to compliment the original piece and bring it into another dimension. "Nightvision" leaves us all rolling indefinitely into the dark, with an unsettling feeling. Finishing off the E.P is "Neuro Bender", a groove to shift weight while purging a flawless flow of cohesive frequencies. 

Pick your weapons of choice, each piece of art is a dangerous composition of fearless sounds presented over a period of time.

"Chikage" sounds familiar, you've heard him before but you are not prepared for this! ISR found Chikage a while back and released a freebie entitled "Hope" just to give you a taste of what was to come from this amazing and talented artist. 

Two years in the making, "Fall Of Light" is a masterpiece. You will need a few listens to get into Chikage's mind. His grasp of details, the sound design and stereo imaging on each track was done with so much care and precision, it's outstanding! A massive melting pot of textures and such large mood board of different genres. Notice blends of deep Drum and bass, Riddim, Futur garage, but 140 remains the dominant one and somehow everything works so well together. Chikage is so consistent, his progression throughout the entire album is impeccable. You will also pick up a remix of "First contact" by one of ISR's finest artist "Wreckage" which contributes to the Chikage experience. He leads us around his own tenebrous scenery in a world packed of blackness. Chikage brings us where he wants us to be and it's fair to say, with terrifying ease!

High Dude has been producing electronic music for many years, his knowledge and experience was put to good use on his latest project 'Chosen Solitude'. Creative disciplines allows him to take a step back and put his thoughts and reflections in order. More than two years in the making, High Dude created a musical therapy to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals.

The use of familiar yet very distinctive high-mid sounds on the overall project forms a dialectic of aesthetics between the coldness of industrial society and the warmth of nature's organic sounds. The Textures and the tribal percussion like in 'Hidden from the Masses' are fundamental for the album. This will Narrow your focus to a core flow which will help you process this mighty palette of frequencies consistently evolving and moving forward, through time, across the entire album. 

"For many, Solitude is scary. It's not always easy to be alone with yourself. It takes a certain level of personal development to accept this solitude in a positive way. You must believe and trust in yourself, only then Solitude becomes a strength. 'Chosen solitude' is the result of a long road to self-recognition, which necessarily involves self-love, self-knowledge and self-acceptance which then allows acceptance and appreciation of others."

High dude perceive music and sounds with shapes and colors (synesthesia). Depending on the sound properties and configuration, more detailed the sound is, more detailed and clear becomes the mental image of the sound you perceive. While most of the tunes could be played in a club with ease, it's with the combination of field recordings, Foley work and voice-acting that High dude manages to make his audience intrigued and hooked from beginning to end. Like if we were listening or watching an audio-mental-abstract-visual hybrid project with the ultimate goal of helping ourselves. As the final scene untitled 'Omo Gon Oson' says, all of me for all of us, may we meet again, in the next chapter.

The Dias Muerte EP by Jaswan represents the end and the start of a new exciting chapter for ISR. We are proud and very humbled to be able to share this project with you. A mixture of trip hop textures and dubstep percussive patterns carved in a grandiose stumbling frequency realm. It grabs your soul out of your flesh, it drags you up and down like if Jaswan was a marionette’s puppeteer and you became the puppet.
