An album of music composed by Steve Wilkin inspired by Spiritech and featuring the texts and voice of Jeremy S Gluck.

Recorded at the end of the 20th Century in England.  All songs Copyright Control PRS-MCPS.  Titles including voice composed by Jeremy Gluck and Stephen Wilkin; those without voice composed by Stephen Wilkin.

At the end of the 80's the music industry had grown decidedly stagnant; however through the extended party "rave" scene a new underground music was appearing. By this time I had developed a fondness for old analogue synthesizers and soon began putting together tracks from my own angle on what was happening.However categories soon emerged, house, garage, techno, trance, jungle, drum 'n' bass etc etc, and what could have been a very interesting development rapidly became dominated by predictable genres.

I continued working under the name The Little Doctors until the end of the 90's, moved to Wiltshire and recorded the "Into the Infinite" cd utilizing the "Spiritech" material of Jeremy Gluck, formerly of The Barracudas. At that time Jeremy was also putting out material under the name Datawhore.

"Into the Infinite is a 74 minutes of techno, ambient soundscapes, and other dance - electro genres; it is ultimately designed to be experienced while seated. Featuring samples constructed from talks by Jeremy Gluck, the album was recorded in Wiltshire over a 10 week period with the spiritext material being sent as Real Audio clippings attached to emails, from Jeremy at home in Swansea. Music sequenced in Logic Audio, on an Apple Power Mac 7600 using Retro AS1 and Rebirth. External hardware consisted of Akai S3000 sampler, Roland JX8P and Mks80 Superjupiter, Oberheim Matrix 1000 and Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 synths, all recorded through a Tascam desk using an Alesis adat and various outboard fx.

For ten years and more Jeremy has waited to be able to make the music he can now, and its excellence, in part due to his collaborators' gifts, is obvious. The Carbon Manual, based in Bristol, is some of the best recorded work he has done. 

The "Whisper" EP, brings together some amazing mixes of one amazing song. Brendon Moeller, Dub Gabriel, Lola Dutronic and Amurgit - not to mention Marty Thau and Martin Rev - are all featured on mixes that go from future punk to retro pop.

And further work with Don Tyler, Dave Fuglewicz, The Strone, Brendon Moeller and Dub Gabriel is the new future Jeremy Gluck is writing. At his greatest creative power to date, Jeremy Gluck is younger than yesterday.
