Selection of sets played during (dinner) service at @The-Jane-Antwerp, including broken beats, rare funk, quirky soul, instrumental hiphop, slo-mo disco, (deep)house and delicate electronica.

The Jane Antwerp is a 2** Michelin restaurant, located in a former military hospital with soaring high ceilings. The Jane first opened its doors in 2014, and now ranks no. 23 on the Worlds 50 Best Restaurant list. Head chef and owner Nick Bril has a outspoken liking towards electronic music. 

The chapel as well as the surrounding site have been completely renovated after years of emptiness. Piet Boon took care of the restaurant’s design and together with various artists and craftspeople he made sure The Jane became a real gem.

XAXIM is a live-project by Fabio Soares and Dudu Marote, crafting latino futurism. Dudu is one of Kajans great friends and the warm connection between the two established this acid centered remix.

During these days of staying home, we'd like to share a new dinner set by our long-term DJ resident @kajanchow. 

We can't deny we miss the energy of a full restaurant, enthusiastic guests, motivated staff, and the fine music that are precisely curated and mixed in our Upper Room Bar. 

Fill up your glass of wine and enjoy Kajan's set filled with magnificent ambient, a touch of deep funk, and delicate house music.

Kajan Chow at Izakaya Nights by The Jane Antwerp 2020

Kajan is a seasoned electronic artist, curator, and educator. Originally from the seaside town of Breskens, he is now based in the Rotterdam area. Throughout his career, Kajan performed in countries such as the US, Belgium, Malta, Bulgaria, Poland, Croatia, Germany, the UK, Hong Kong, and China.

As a versatile artist, Kajan is known for his refined approach to blending warm soulful, deep cuts with raw and quirky gems. He has a reputation for curating music, often delivering esteemed six-hour DJ sets that create sonic appetite and define a harmonious balance by embracing diverse rhythms.

2022 marked his release of 'Umami Fulfillmento' on the compilation Enclose: The Sound of The Jane, joining Sebastian Mullaert, Anfisa Letyago, Sue Avenue, Maxim Lany, Gerd Janson, Marino Carnal and others on this limited vinyl-release.

Further studio and live-production work comes with his creative input as performer and producer in Rotterdam-based Pilot Wave Live, and Breda-based Omega Zen Live, performing live-sets.

He also provides music direction for high-end (Michelin) venues across Europe, providing exciting, edgy and cozy music pairings.
In the realm of education, Kajan has emerged as an educator in electronic music and cultural education advisor.
