Afro-Beat just does something to the soul. The rhythms, the groove—it’s like they tap into something deeper than sound. Every time I mix this music, I feel it move through me, reminding me that rhythm isn’t just in music—it’s in life, in the way everything flows, in the way God designed it all.

This set came together naturally. Downtempo Afro-Beat, all under 110 BPM, smooth and deep, recorded live—no edits, just letting it breathe.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about pace. How easy it is to rush, to force things, to try and control what’s already in motion. But God works in rhythm, not in hurry. When I slow down and just listen, everything makes more sense. Maybe this mix can be a reminder of that—of moving with the beat instead of against it.

Here’s a live recording of my set from this past weekend! Watching the sunset over the river, surrounded by friends, celebrating Max’s birthday—this was hands down one of my favorite sets I’ve ever played. I’m stoked to share it with you.

Big thanks to Max for being born, to Matt, Liam, & Anton for their musical superpowers behind the decks, and to Mother Nature for blessing us with the most perfect day—lost in nature, dancing with an intention aimed toward love and connection.

I apologize for the sudden ending—I had a stack of groovy minimal tunes lined up, but the cops shut us down due to noise complaints. We moved the party inside for an after-hours set... until they shut that down too. 😆 'Twas an epic night.

PSA: If you hear random noises, a kazoo solo, or some enthusiastic hype-man vocals—just know it was unknowingly recorded onto the master channel and wasn’t me! 😂 People were expressing themselves in all sorts of ways, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
