Originally written in 2014 and recorded in 2015, this one has been waiting in the wings for quite some time. Its appropriate title revealed deeper meaning to me over the last 7 years. I had planned to release it at least a half dozen times. But every time I geared up to do that, for one reason or another, it just didn't feel 'right'. Now, after close to a decade, I understand why my higher self was asking me to pause. 

It could not be a better time to finally share this with the world, as the context of the song is ever-changing with my personal evolution. Its lyrics land even more solidly with recent life events and truthfully, I'm finally mature enough to let this one be heard. Freshly mastered last month and ready for all of your ears and hearts to enjoy. I hope you all really feel this one and that you never rush yourself into anything, regardless of self-induced pressure. And most importantly, may you never EVER lag on yourself...because Timing is Everything.

These musicians played LIVE for about 2 years in and amongst the Bay Area from 2009-2011. Before traveling to Hawaii, Mama Crow got in the studio with the band @ SERA PHI STUDIOS in the Mission to document this musical era.  

The content of this song is a true story of how to overcome hardships from the past and to consciously choose light in every moment. This song acknowledges the shared human truth of adversity yet focuses on overcoming all challenges regardless how dark the shadow to live an awakened life of empowerment. On the night of the new moon (8/25/2014)- this song was birthed. I set up my mic to record something completely different- but "It's Easier" poured out of my mouth. Within one hour- the entire song was completed. This time is about letting go of what no longer serves you and sewing seeds for what you want to create. "It's easier once you begin..."

I'm sharing this song from my album -INDIGO- in honor of Timothy Becker. I wrote this song in 2009 after attempting suicide. No one knows this and I feel called to reveal after losing another friend to suicide on Friday. My hometown crew and myself- we have LOST TOO MANY friends to substance, suicide and unnatural causes. I find myself saying, "Not Becker- he was always the strong one." As tears blur my vision, I post this song with intentions to prevent this from happening again. PLEASE NO FUCKING MORE! The more loved ones that we lose in this way, the more we have to pull together because it's easier to stay hopeful with each other. Friends and family, you are NOT alone and I love you. Becker, you are free and I will always remember you.
