Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, through Skankandbass Introducing we release a series of free download singles which aims to spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Macca is a name that will need no introduction to Skankandbass fans.  The channel mainstay has been featured countless times as far back as 2011, both on his own and with long-time production partner Loz Contreras.  Having made appearances on Shogun, Spearhead, Integral, Fokuz and Liquicity among others, we are extremely excited to finally welcome him to S&B Introducing.  On ‘Regeneration / Rattle Dub’ he explores the darker side of his sound, recruiting frequent collaborator Cnof on the B-Side.

First teaming up back in 2013, this North-South connection have been spearheading the good times sunshine vibe movement since then. They recently released their album ‘Better World’ in 2017 which was chock full of hands in the air moments, whilst still keeping true to a held back and refined sound.

Innerground Records proudly welcomes Macca into the family with this two-track stepper that is a perfect blend of dark and light.

"Rise N Grind" gets the ball rolling with a minimal approach to a heavy and brooding dancefloor number. The track rolls out gently before getting to the gritty horn fanfare and accompanying basslines. Sounding like a call to arms with a staccato beat and sometimes throbbing low-ends, this is one for the rave generals to savour.

"Special Lady" is a switch of pace and has that classic, glittery Innerground sound. A sultry amen gives way to a deep and soulful bottom line that swims in the eardrums creating that warm feeling you only get from a beautifully constructed piece of liquid DnB.
