It's a bittersweet thing to lay this page to rest. The stuff I make next will be more than what Munising was. It'll be more real, a little more uncomfortable and a lot more polished :) I care to much about conveying the colors in my head in a meaningful way to keep doing it halfway.

Shoutout to Pedro for making a song with me on Teamspeak at like 2 in the morning, that was the reason I made this page. And much gratitude to the time spent making each and every track on the page. As well as the places and people that helped influence it all. I hope, for myself, that a lot of good memories and nostalgia can still live on in here.

This is the page of an old project called Munising.

Munising was a method of separating myself from the prospect of being vulnerable with/genuine in music. I took the name from a town in rural Upper Michigan, because that's how I wanted this to 'live' - as a place or space or moment where I wasn't. That made it easier to take the weight off of making something that held a weighty meaning against me. Wearing music like I wanted to didn't feel comfortable then, so I put a mask on underneath.

I've done a great deal of growing up since then, and through that, I've developed an appreciation for being genuine with my vulnerability. Embracing the fear and discomfort of vulnerability.

I will continue to create, but it will be from me, Ricky. Dance remixes, (hopefully) something that stirs some emotion in you/me. I'd rather it all come from me now. We all deserve to just be. <3
