@Sprillmusic aka Arnold Omanyo is a UX designer and developer from Australia via Kenya who moonlights as a music producer and has been making a name for himself on SoundCloud in the future beats, future funk and R&B scenes. He broke out winning a remix contest for Pusher's single 'Tell Me' ft Hunnah and has now amassed over 250k plays on SoundCloud and 50k on Youtube. 

'Alpine' marks his debut label release with @NotLikeThat, soon to be followed up by darker b-side single 'Osaka Bounce'. @NotLikeThat has teamed up with London designer @MorganHislop for the cover art, and LA visual artist Nice Shapes to produce stunning  a e s t h e t i c  music videos taking themes from internet art and vaporwave.

This release explores the relationship between music and the corporate world. In this half-life, music is described in radically over-simplified terms such as pop, folk, world and country. Such descriptions are necessary in the business of library music (music manufactured for visual media) so that non-diegetic music may be findable by non-musically-minded corporate video producers and editors. 

Statistics from ILikeMusic.com, a music search platform aimed at the broadcast media industry, reveal that 90% of the most searched terms by users have no relation to music whatsoever; such as "sport", "entertainment", "neutral", "suspended" and "news" to name a few. The chasm between the song titles and music itself, illustrates the disjunction between conventional musicological language and the approach, language and thought process employed by corporate video makers in their search for background music to accompany their work.

Electronic artist from the US Orlando Boom graces the Not Like That catalogue with this killer EP mixing maximalist production with solid 4-to-the-floor club beats and a nod to Miami Bass. 

'Parallelogram' and 'PYT Tool' are perfect Not Like That releases; they walk that tricky line between experimental and poppy fun beautifully. They work just as well in headphone as in clubs or raves!

Boy Friend aka Zach Buckley is Not Like That's newest producer/artist and he's only 19 years old, from the UK. Heavily influenced by the PC music label and artists, he's been experimenting to create something new and exciting. ‘Give It 2 Me’ is the first original track to hit that sweet spot. The future is bright for Boy Friend whose stylistic choices are getting off to an exciting start with fast tempo, hyper metallic synths with extreme vocals.
