We are proud to present our first ever compilation, created and
curated by the community around Open Outlets, Mosaic. Each part of
this compilation will be different in the idea of what compilations
can do and introduce more new fresh talents from around the world.

We would like to encourage you to check everyone from this
compilation, these people are the representatives of the innovating
movement in electronic music, artists which are combined into the
strongest knowledge household of music theory and music production of any genre, and incredible execution of any idea that is given to, or imagined by them.

"Trumours - When an rumour is sufficiently circulated that it becomes accepted as truth without needing to be substantiated / when a rumour actually turns out to be true / something which is simultaneously humorous, as well as accurate."

As if everything was black and white within the relationships of people, as in this exact definition of the word "Trumo(u)r" (which is, obviously, a lie, homonyms exist), the relationship between the author, his magnum opus, and the author's audience can be complex as well. 

With this particular album, our newcomer Gianluca Mannini, also known as Maynix, wants to showcase this complex relationship; the relationship between a lot of simple things: genres, sounds, improvisations, inspirations, people and more. Yet these things, when put together, form something special.

Something that we are proud to release on our label.
This is one of the most soulful releases on Open Outlets.

How weird it wouldn't be to name this album with two names [as well as using a particular japanese aesthetic for the inspiration of such name], it makes sense, since it's two works/narratives combined into one to create something complex.

We would like to welcome our newcomer hailing from Russia, Dmitry Solinance with his first ever release, and, as well, his debut album on our label. This album is, as mentioned, split into two parts, one is inspired by non-living enviromenal elements and another one is inspired by living, moving people, thus combined into the narrative about organics, nature and push-and-pull interaction of life as a whole.

Narrative, that is merged with russian melancholic sound, creates an intimate and beautiful landscape, aptly named "Abiocoen;Exodus".

"Paragoria (παρηγορία) - solace, comfort or consolation in a time of great distress or sadness."

Finding and internalizing the material for growth as a musician can be really complicated sometimes, since there should be a perfect balance between knowledge and soul. Too far from the perfect balance between these two and you lose yourself in disjointed parts of what you wish to really express.

For someone like our australian friend Joshua ÆTERNA, it can be a path for self-development; searching, trying, accepting and mastering something new, seeking the comfort and oneself within that discovery. That, for sure, resonates with one of the philosophical viewpoints of our label.

With this new EP, Joshua wanted to create something that reflects his current progress within the endless space of music, and showcase the relationship between stages of growth and falldown, eventual discovery and accepting this discovery as your own comfort zone before it falls apart; this process keeps repeating endlessly, an unstoppable cycle of movement that is about finding meaning and purpose in the things you want to accomplish; a spiritual, soulful journey.

Characterized by the unique blend of textures, atmospheres, sounddesign, harmony, musical lines and rhythm, this EP is fusion of everything Joshua wishes to currently figure out: how to create an emotive and cinematic inspired narrative that encompasses light and dark, the narrative that expresses a journey through difficult times, arriving at point of growth and clarity, that narrative in his mind that is dubbed "Paragoria".

Full circle. 

There is something that one had abandoned for a while, because they felt it's not worth it or it's not the time for such ideas to be accepted in music community... but it came back. As if it was an unseperable part of one's style from the beginning and something that makes their sound unique.

For our friend Paul, also known as Poseidon, this was his side alias River Styx, which he dedicated to a variety of different, textural approaches, that weren't a part of Paul's Poseidon alias at that time, that was eventually scrapped completely. Or it hadn't been scrapped at all.

As he started moving back towards his cinematic and experimental roots during the time he had releases on Crowsnest Audio, VALE and, as of recent, our own label, he discovered that sound of River Styx all over again, eventually morphing it into his own style, that is a fusion of everything he has written before, including Downtempo, Cinematic, Dubstep, Trap, Ambient, Classical, Neuro, Halftime, Leftfield, Experimental, Chillout and IDM. 

This album is a huge achievement in his own career, his first album ever, thus a debut one. Something that was dissolved eventually materialised back and fused with everything that he is doing.

It fused into the grand finale and a new beginning, which can be argued to be somewhat of a self-titled album, as well as homage to the entire decade worth of electronic music and the passion behind it. And the name of it is "River Styx".
