Although he continued with a multitude of original tracks, mash-ups, covers and collaborations, and toured the world several times over this was the last official Eskimo release, and talk about going out with a bang!
Released in 2006, every track is a guaranteed floor filler that pushed the enveloped of what was accepted in the psy scene. Bringing in overt influences from rave, electro, hardstyle and glitch to create a musical journey unlike any other before or since.

John Phantasm - Magic View set, Parvati Valley, Kasol [Phantasm Sessions 001]

For this Phantasm 2020-2023 Showcase, Phantasm Records' manager and DJ, Chris KALEIDOR, selects some of the label's biggest tracks from its first three years since relaunching in 2020, spanning Progressive, Full-On, and Twilight.  Chris grew up next door to John Phantasm (and his son, Eskimo), tagging along to early Goa parties in London and working at the legendary Return to the Source. He later began DJing at free parties and clubs across the UK, playing everything from psytrance and techno to electro, DnB, hardcore, and house.  Passionate about Phantasm, he works closely with John to sign new tracks and artists, bringing fresh music to the world.

Mindfield were at the centre of the Goa Trance explosion in London in the mid '90s, performing firstly all over the UK and eventually worldwide.
The original lineup paired studio heads Simon Carman & John Ford with proto scenesters Mark Allen & DJ Chrisbo. Mark & Chris were part of the influential Pagan party crew before Mark became resident DJ at Return To The Source - ground zero for the scene in London at the time.
Around '96 Chrisbo left to join Medicine Drum & Mark left to concentrate on RTTS & his burgeoning DJ career, leaving core members John & Simon to continue as Mindfield and concentrate on running their London based Phantasm & Psychic Deli imprints.

Sadly after a battle with leukaemia Simon died in 1997.. John enlisted his friend musician Ben Wilkin to the fold in '98 before taking the reins alone around 2000. He continues to perform live as Mindfiled & DJ as John Phantasm to the present day.

Sadly after a battle with leukaemia Simon died in 1997.. John enlisted his friend musician Ben Wilkin to the fold in '98 before taking the reins alone around 2000. He continues to perform live as Mindfiled & DJ as John Phantasm to the present day.
