Tensione Casio is a record/project entirely devoted to a “cinema di genere” / genre cinema which no longer exists but still keeps being referred to nowadays: from Umberto Lenzi’s car chases (strictly on Alfetta), to Lucio Fulci’s visual deliriums and more, from Riz Ortolani’s illusory relaxations to Augusto Martelli’s detours on the theme. Directors who blends and get confused with their composers bringing about a precise iconography, a layered universe of sounds and images.

MA Spaventi - Non Ce L'Hai Solo Tu (L'Acido)

Released by Pizzico for the first time in 2009 with the moniker "Erre", Marco Antonio Spaventi was one of the most pleasant surprises about what an excellent techno producer can do with his beloved background: Italo disco. Influenced by soundtrack masters as Vangelis, John Carpenter and most of all italian maestro's like Nico Fidenco, Pino Donaggio, Francesco De Masi, and appearing in the sky like a laser beam in a post-atomic Bronx filmed by Enzo G. Castellari, the positive first album of MA Spaventi called "Viaggi" is landing.  A real journey into obscure worlds, dirty streets, atomic sunsets, broken hearts and analog feelings, a blessing for your most romantic and cinematic essence. Could this folding full length fit the modern dance floors? Pizzico Label head Billy Bogus is back on track, this time joined by Kasillen , mysterious producer and sound designer who comes from a hip hop and black music background, and is behind Italian pop stars such as Stadio, Umberto Tozzi & Samuele Bersani just to name a few. Bogus & Kasillen come up with two original tracks with the consistent help of a MPC 1000, blending old Italian horror soundtracks with dubby/cheesy analog sounds so to convey the sense of discomfort you feel while watching a thrilling Italian b-movie, but in a clubby way. The final punch comes from the acid psychedelia of a different version of the same track by In Flagranti and the 80's space-like vibe of homeboy Ma Spaventi .

Svengali is a 1931 American horror film where through hypnotism and mind control, a sinister music maestro controls the singing voice, but not the heart, of the woman he loves. As most of the Impressionist movies of early 30's it speaks metaphorically about european pre-war tensions and the incoming menace of Nazi Germany.

This is a little tribute to our hero Carlo Pedersoli a.k.a. Bud Spencer and all the discography around his movies: sometimes a little bit cheesy but always fun, sometimes balearic and unexpectedly deep, just talking about a bunch of soundtracks that ruled our childhood with the odd noises from our Bud’s fistfights. This is a Bogus & Kasillen remix of “My name is Zulu” by Oliver Onions aka Guido & Maurizio De Angelis but, as we said, it’s a tribute first than a remix.
We are awfully late with the "grief and go" trend on the web but we are old school producers, people who take their time, in life as in music.

Pizzico is going to celebrate the first ten years of activity with an extravagant project.
Four excellent remixers show their personal versions of “Noche a Bahia” and “Dalì”, two tracks that we could say are “Balearic Ante Litteram”, by memorable band CIAO FELLINI.

Severino of Horse Meat Disco, the most famous London party, Dj Rocca from legendary Maffia and worldwide famous producer, The Caribbean House, combo of historic minds from Technogod to Disciplinatha and Johnny Paguro, outsider from Pizzico, show their reworks in this record made for the most diverse dance floors, from breakbeat to disco-house.

Hailing from Modena, playful, open minded and irreverent, Ciao Fellini marked the 1980-1990 decade with several covers and bold italo-pop singles. They won a Festival Bar, got photographed by Luigi Ghirri, sold more than  hundred-thousands copies of  “La mia banda suona il rock”, were invited to the trendiest TV shows of the time such as Discoring and Super Classifica Show, they ran one of the most prestigious night clubs of the 80s in Northern Italy, il Graffio, it seems, therefore, impossible not to celebrate the thirty-year of their first original hit “Noche a Bahia” with a dedicated vinyl!

MP are literally homeboys with lot of releases for the label.. Legend tells that one day Idjut boys said to Mushrooms: “Pizzico? That label needs vinyl” so here we are Boys, with a new vocal project, the second on this ep. 
First Soupaczar “presentation” was released by amazing Under The Shade label so we doubly feel proud to introduce this brand new track from this rocking band, remixed and re-produced by the SLO MO duo by definition. 
Beautiful Karma is a spacy tune, full of psychedelic nuances, charming vocals and a real cosmic attitude that don’ t betray the expectations. “Metaphysical beats for unicorns on dope” we probably may say about this kind of music. Yes, let’s say it!

With Daniel Monaco, aka Daniele Labbate, we did it again. Here it comes, our Christmas release with your Italo-ribbon! 
Simple State  EP, with four tracks, two original and two remixes, is a marriage of italo disco, afro (some tunes evoke Celso Valli of Tantra) and analog drums which go hand in hand with plastic-digital synth and highlight Daniel Monaco's key transition from one-man band to DJ/producer.

Sauvage World ( nu-disco pioneer  Michele Tessadri and wild Luc Sauvage) handle the first remix, taking the track original  idea back to a beloved and lovable Italian Riviera image whilst the remix of  “Drifting Stars” is by the above mentioned MA Spaventi, back with Pizzico in great shape with a shower of claps, provocative analogies and a killer groove.
