Procyon hums in jubilation as Jazz musician turned electronic producer Trefoil releases ‘all that is solid melts into air’ EP on our communications platform.

The rigid, seemingly impenetrable basslines meshes with the the liquid, air-like dub pads. The effect creates for a mesmerising and entrancing listening experience.

The Naarm-based producer of only 2 years experience tells a compelling story through his mature productions: a story that invites contemplation between what is solid and what is air. Though eventually, it is clear that there is no difference - our planet’s structures are impermanent and is ever changing.

Procyon II proudly presents: Void Antics Vol.1 – a collection of interstellar grooves, deep-space frequencies, and downright mischievous beats.

Newcomers Hamslice and Crozier ease us in with smooth, minimal deep house so slick you might slip on it. Sami hypnotizes with Open Streets, luring you into a trance where time (and possibly your grip on reality) begins to dissolve. Super Jupiter and TØMII take us straight to the mothership with Future Maker and Tread, delivering those classic alien-prog textures that make you question whether you left the stove on back on Earth. And then there's AJ, throwing UK speed garage vibes into the mix and warping it through a cosmic prog lens—because why not, it's Void Antics right?

It’s tunes from the void for all occasions—whether you're floating through space, lost in a warehouse, or just vibing in your kitchen at 3 AM wondering where the last two hours went. Enjoy!

Realms of the Procyon star system are still greatly unknown - ancient societies with advanced technology supposedly vanished. 

Though the infinite layers of time & space continuums, it's impossible to find all that lurks.

This connection, the 21st Transmission presented by La Tüsh is the chaos and unpredictability that forms through an unstable connection. 

Having already featured at a Procyon party, we are excited to give a warm welcome to La Tüsh who is our 21st Transmission feature and we couldn’t be happier. 

After refining her craft behind the scenes for the last few years, 2022 was the year of the breakout - coming to showcase exactly what she's all about.

As showcased in this mix, La Tüsh is fearless behind the decks and pushes the frontiers of mixing genres together. From Drum n Bass through to jungle and trance, your ear hairs will definitely be standing in anticipation of what comes next. 

Through madness, do we find a beautiful story told.

The Procyon II team are very proud to bring you PRCN001: 'Wave Artifice' - Naarm local AJ Walker's second EP and the maiden release for the Procyon II label. Releasing May 5th 2023. 

AJ returns with bag of sonic goodies to take you a journey through the galaxy and back. With a propensity for driving low-end grooves, snappy percussion and laser-like acid-licks leaving no surprises, this release has seen him venture down new avenues of sound design creating nebulous pad sections and synth harmonies to lose yourself in on a dusty dance-floor in the bush.

3 recent cuts, 'Wave Artifice', 'Polybius' and 'Astra-Technique' showcase the last 6-months or so of AJ's trip into the esoteric and aims to capture that otherworldly feeling you might get while staring into the liminality of space on a clear night.
'Blue Shell Boogie', written in 2021 is an ode to everyones favourite N64 classic. Sitting dormant on a backup disc since and finally finding a home on the Procyon II imprint.

It's house, it's trance, it's a bit prog and it's Mario Kart 64 - it's Wave Artifice.

//Humans have always wondered what the beings on Procyon look like.

We look much like you, actually. Written in the ancient hologram of Narak - our first ascendants were of human tribes. Primitive in nature, their vessels made the great migration post AI; Earth became overcrowded and some populations made the move.

We are excited to feature Gracey as our 24th Transmission. Her ever-growing popularity has seen her grace Naarm’s top venues such as Xe; Guerns; Ferdydurke & Killing Time. her sound echoes what we love and this mix is something we can communicate with.

In her set, she combines all that we love - showcasing rhythmic 90s trance; combined with Hard-hitting bassline and whispers of psy-trance & breakbeat elements to really bend your mind.

Recording from a super fun, packed out night at Dr Morse. Gracey closed things out with the perfect blend of up beat, rhythmic prog complemented by some feel good trance & house classics.

The sound is coherent to his affinity of 90s Prog/Trance - whilst incorporating a sample of the didgeridoo and an Indian traditionalist vocalist, creating for a rich & diverse soundscape.

Hypnotic is what comes to mind. Throughout, the use of pads creates space, floating above the energetic acid rhythms typical of his productions.
