XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the undergrounds finest heads.

RAMMÖ made his debut on XYZ alongside a pillar of the label’s output thus far Jim Rider. The Dutch producer has graced the likes of TRYBESof, Klassified, and Kindisch. RAMMÖ is known for finding his own sound which varies from Electronica to Deep Melodic Techno.  He set his sights on the bountiful borders of Brazil to form the back bone of influence and inspiration on the Esperança EP.

How many of us look at the time and it is always 22:22 or 11:11 and so on? For some people, it doesn’t mean anything and they call it a simple coincidence, but for others like me, or other ‘Flow-ers' it means that you are at the right place, merging with the flow of life or that someone is thinking of you! I locked myself up for this 3:33:33.33.33 sets (yes it’s all about details)standing in front of my CDs, and CDJs, and started recording this set. It all started with a joint and ended up in a disco-ish party passing through some weird, joyful and acid-ish flows. This set is a good representation of what I love to play depending on the gigs. A wide range of carefully selected music and a lot of upcoming tracks, collabs, edits and remixes produced over these last two crazy years! You are at the right place and I am thinking of you and our next dances. Time to let it flöw and enjoy the journey! - @rammomusic

For its sixth release, Around Midnight chose to showcase the mesmerizing work of French artist Rammö. A prolific producer based in the South of France, Rammö also graced the decks of famous festivals such as Wonderfruit in Thailand, Afrikaburn or Moga Festival to name just a few. His signature sound, a trippy flow mixing only recorded sounds and acid synthesizers, is highlighted in this "Paradox Dream" E.P through 2 originals and 1 remix. "Paradox Plant" leads us to an elevation in slow motion thanks to spellbinding drums combined with distorted synthesizers and incantatory vocals. The track slowly walks us into the depths of our perceptions, where green fumes eventually transform into beautiful and rewarding visions. At the core of the second track, "Pablo's Dream", modulated French lyrics stand out for the voice of our subconscious gently carrying us into a paradoxical reality. Meanwhile, the round signature baseline punctuated by acid drops of synthesizers slowly opens up around the vocals like flower petals : a joyful dip into the enlightening shadows of our inner self. The remix of "Pablo's Dream" by the Happy Camper Records duo Unders and Noraj Cue conveys a deep clubbing vibe through the use of stronger beats and a higher pitch coupled with playful variations on the main theme that expand the original to another dimension while preserving its dreamy and introspective purpose. Be ready to awaken to this "Paradox Dream" on July 21st ....

Taking over with their much anticipated debut on A Tribe Called Kotori, RAMMÖ and Spaniol are at it again on their second collaborative project, 'Pegasi Cinqo'. Respectively based out of the South of France and New York, Rammö & Spaniol are that power unit of talents that causes sparks to fly. Infused with both their own personal backgrounds and origins - one having roots in Spain, the other in Brazil, this first instalment from the duo on our platform oozes with that Latin warmth at heart and groovy suavity that simply can't leave one cold. Inspired by their performance at the Polygon stage during last year's edition of Wonderfruit festival in Thailand -- a very special stage complete with a 360-degree sound system and bespoke light works -- which left a durable impression on them, Rammö and Spaniol were inspired to try and reignite these sentiments into actual compositions that translate both the nostalgic elation and bliss felt in this moment in time. Now for everyone to enjoy.

Both fruits of the same palette, 'Quinta Vida' and 'Pegasi Leque' share instrumental similarities, especially in the use of the flamenco-style guitars, which as the duo underlines serve as a unifying element. A forward-moving, hip-shaking roller, 'Quinta Vida' blazes with the vibrant colors that innervate their tracks and mutual feelings of love and respect Rammö and Spaniol have for one another both as artists and friends. Nimbly walking the tightrope between Andalusian hedonism and loungey house vibrations on a silky balearic tip, it's an elegantly woven, after-ready flower of sound that blooms with every bar. More of a tinted, sensual weapon for the in-between hours, 'Pegasi Leque' reels out a dynamic train-like chug associated with Spanish guitar riffs and FX-drenched syncopations. Like the nocturnal match to 'Quinta Vida' and its heavenly solar ambience, this one casts a spell of night-loving eroticism with its nearly whispered vocal part enticing us down the path of lace-clad fleshliness. Steamy business.

RAMMÖ is the cömbination of two artists playing both together and separately, who share the same vision of life and music. 
Their style is best defined as Electronica and comes from this same love for underground, melodic music and ethnical world music. 
The two friends, originally from the south of France moved together to The Netherlands a few years ago where they were able to further their passion for music and to develop and find their own style alongside the energetic Dutch music community.
Thanks to their vibrant energy and to the stories they tell through their sets, RAMMÖ have played alongside artists such as Âme, Nico Stojan, Joris Voorn, Agoria, Lehar, Nico Stojan, , H.O.S.H., Musumeci, Andre Hommen... around Europe, Asia and Colombia.

Both residents and co-founders of the dutch collective Klassified Music, they have enjoyed joining their common passion to their friendship and turned this into productions, sets, B2B gigs, as well as a podcast series entitled MM..
