Melbourne's techno scene comes together with the Solstice EP — four tracks from Common Tribe and Ish Anja, plus a remix from Lost Memories, blending solid dancefloor energy, hypnotic flow, and distinctive vocal work.

Common Tribe, made up of Peter & David, have built their sound around a flexible approach to techno, shifting between darker, driving cuts and brighter, melodic moments, always focused on movement and connection on the dancefloor.

Ish Anja brings her own style — emotive melodies, heavy kicks, and vocals that add character and depth. A consistent presence in Melbourne's clubs, she has supported artists such as Claudio PRC, Christian Smith, Tensal, Eric Powell, and Township Rebellion, refining her sound both as a DJ and producer.

The EP opens with 'Solstice', an abstract, broken-beat introduction that evolves into a rolling, peak-time techno cut with uplifting tension. 'Backwards' follows with a moodier, hypnotic groove that builds with patience and detail. 'Fraction' adds a brighter, melodic edge, perfect for late-night sets, before Lost Memories closes the release with a high-energy rework built for maximum impact.

Amsterdam-based producer Alex Sharp returns to the label for our 141st release to unveil his latest project, the Kaval Sviri EP – a mesmerising fusion of melodic techno and Bulgarian folklore.

This evocative collection consists of two originals, the title 'Kaval Sviri' and 'Avante Mori' alongside a striking remix of the by the emerging Austrian techno producer Mike Pipes.

'Kaval Sviri,' meaning 'The Flute Plays,' is inspired by a Bulgarian folk tale centered on a shepherd's flute and a story of love and longing. Alex preserves the haunting beauty of the traditional melody while reimagining it through the lens of modern techno, blending hypnotic beats with poignant cultural storytelling.

'Avante Mori' further extends the folkloric inspiration, weaving intricate soundscapes that bridge past and present.

Adding a dynamic plot-twist, Mike Pipes' remix of 'Kaval Sviri' transforms the track into a peak-time anthem, enhancing its energy while respecting its roots. The full 3-track EP is both a tribute to tradition and an invitation to experience dance music as a vessel for storytelling.

Melbourne's techno scene comes together with the Solstice EP — four tracks from Common Tribe and Ish Anja, plus a remix from Lost Memories, blending solid dancefloor energy, hypnotic flow, and distinctive vocal work.

Common Tribe, made up of Peter & David, have built their sound around a flexible approach to techno, shifting between darker, driving cuts and brighter, melodic moments, always focused on movement and connection on the dancefloor.

Ish Anja brings her own style — emotive melodies, heavy kicks, and vocals that add character and depth. A consistent presence in Melbourne's clubs, she has supported artists such as Claudio PRC, Christian Smith, Tensal, Eric Powell, and Township Rebellion, refining her sound both as a DJ and producer.

The EP opens with 'Solstice', an abstract, broken-beat introduction that evolves into a rolling, peak-time techno cut with uplifting tension. 'Backwards' follows with a moodier, hypnotic groove that builds with patience and detail. 'Fraction' adds a brighter, melodic edge, perfect for late-night sets, before Lost Memories closes the release with a high-energy rework built for maximum impact.

Solstice captures four Melbourne-based artists combining their strengths with detailed production, strong grooves and tracks designed to connect with the crowd.

Waveback Luke has given us some incredible releases over the past few years, including this killer track Make Me King. This time round we are stoked to have, with his debut on the label FlexB giving us a crisp whilst blissful interpretation of the original composition.

FlexB bringing his optical sense of production to the piece, being able to garner all the original elements within his remix with a sharp combination of minimalistic characteristics, punching bass notes yet showing elements of extreme clarity.

Following the success of his debut album Colors, Fabrication is back to grace us with another belter of a 2-track release, including melodic masterpieces 'Changes' and 'Dustpig'.

The EP is introduced with Changes, a heavenly uplifting progressive record that makes you just want to close your eyes and move.

The title track was written back in 2017 with the simple hook and dirty didgeridoo accompanied by the dark dystopian twist. Since then, Dustpig has taken on many different forms before landing in our lap.

"There has been only a small hand full of my projects that have had this special quality to them and really resonated with me… a track I have been hanging to finish and release for years and I'm glad I can finally do just that".

Fabrication delivers Hot Foot with what feels like an endless progression of energy, through his ability to balance a fluid like energy across the board with every single element that goes into his music. The original packs a pounding rhythm equipped with blissful melodies and a few cheeky hidden samples, strong on the peak time dance floor vibes.

To accompany the original we have Australian electronic music royalty on board for remix duties, Jamie Stevens and Anthony Pappa! The lads have put together a classic progressive number reflective of their long-lasting experience and time refining their craft.

After working with over 120 artists on 130+ releases, our repertoire boasts diverse genres, innovative collaborations with artists and labels, along with tracks that have left an indelible mark on the music industry. 

From being awarded the position of Beatport's Top 3 label for 2020 (following revered Afterlife and Diynamic imprints), and 4th highest selling release of the year - along with a large portfolio of accomplishments and achievements since its inception - Recovery Collective has grown from a fledgling label to a global powerhouse.

Bringing together artists from all corners of the world, the label has championed artists from diverse backgrounds, enabling them to showcase their unique talents on a global stage. From Australia to Ukraine, Brazil, France, Lebanon and Thailand. We really have created a community of artists that today we are ever so proud of.

To celebrate a decade of operation, Recovery Collective will be embarking on a 10 Year Anniversary World Tour throughout 2024, seeking to revisit this incredible journey, bringing together our esteemed artists, dedicated fans, and the larger music community.

This tour will span multiple cities, each chosen for its unique connection to our label and its artists. Every showcase will be curated meticulously, reflecting the ethos of Recovery Collective while offering attendees an unforgettable musical experience.
