This innovative collaboration between electronic musician Basic Rhythm (Anthoney J Hart) and rising star Blood Trust (Quinn Smith) features four tracks of dark, experimental drum and bass, inspired by the late 1990s.

Basic Rhythm, known for his London underground dance music roots, blends UK dance music heritage with contemporary sounds. Blood Trust, on the other hand, transcends genre boundaries, focusing on atmospheric narratives to challenge conventional electronic music perceptions.

The "Blood Rhythm EP" showcases the sweet spot between Basic Rhythm's raw dance floor approach and Blood Trust's atmospheric sound. Expect a powerful, dark, and immersive journey back to the golden age of drum and bass, while still exploring new sonic territories.

Law follows up his 2022 debut solo EP on Repertoire with a continuation of the Holographic Principle series.

Volume 2 expands on the ideas of the original, with an overriding theme of emotive, cosmic synths and keys, conjuring up visions of retrofuturist ideals of the mid 20th century.

Whilst Dead Man’s Chest makes his third outing for Repertoire with a stripped-back, junglistic re-working of Holographic, in his own inimitable style.

Repertoire presents the Thieves EP, marking Modal’s debut vinyl release on the label. This four-track collection features collaborations with Jaise—celebrated for his work with Metalheadz—and Double O of Rupture LDN, bringing together a range of styles that showcase Modal’s artistry.

Opening with the title track, "Thieves" sets a dark, intense tone with a pounding beat that utilises the classic Tighten Up break to great effect. Double O’s remix of "Thieves" brings a heavy amen jungle twist. "Strangers," a collaboration with Jaise, is a halftime, percussive roller driven by huge mid-range bass growls, creating a rich, atmospheric soundscape. "Heads or Tails" brings a more emotive sound, influenced by classic Blue Note styles and blended with a modern, reflective edge.

Lanterns has everything you would expect from a Tim Reaper tune at full tilt. Highly processed blistering amen edits, soothing pads and strings, classic vocals and gut-wrenching bass. 

On remix duties we have Dead Man’s Chest aka Eveson. This, his very first remix as Dead Man’s Chest, comes after a series of hugely successful extended players on Ingredients Records. 

A) Lanterns (Original Mix) 
Evoking memories of Source Direct at their peak, “Lanterns” twists and turns in and out of warm strings, lush pads and muffled vocals. 

B) Lanterns (Dead Man’s Chest Remix) 
Samples and arrangements are flipped, the tempo slowed, but the remix stays true to the original, with Dead Man’s Chest adding his own imitable style and sounds. The atmosphere is thick with white noise and distortion - watch your speakers during the midpoint bass switch!
