"Processes of production without negativity are utopian and historically unrealistic, like the absolute libido in repetitive music. Trance music’s false-freedom from dialectics is, as the fantasy world of Techno, merely repressive sublimation in the service of late capitalism, ergo the authoritarian character. Its nonteological repetition mirrors in sound the seductive and libidinal, exalting moment-to-moment intensity over narrative, repetition over dialectics, unbounded and goalless desire-production over Oedipal stories of castration and lack. From its conception based on auto-negation to its instrumentalisation in physical or digital form, the new body of work by Daniel Hartl and Julian Derkits present in this live mix is nothing less than the adaptation of foreign stasis to a highly organised, rhythmic and structured domesticated sensitivity at your service."

Apart from his regular contribution to the viennese music and clubbing scene, Sedvs has been acclaimed on the international stage with his music. With ”Paradise Lost” he lately released his first LP on Bare Hands.

Hailing straight from Lower, Austria, SEDVS, the solo project of Daniel Hartl has become synonymous with forward thinking techno and electronic music. Being part of BEDLAM and the previously featured duo HERLA, the idea behind his solo effort focuses on the intersection between Noise, Dark Wave and industrial soundscapes without straying away too far from Techno. 
Drawing influences from early Birmingham-rooted spheres of the 80’s Post-Punk / EBM movement, the founder of the BARE HANDS label recently put out the highly anticipated PIECES OF AGITATION EP.

Next up we turn to Vienna for Artaphine Series 047 by Sedvs. Running the Bare Hands label, Sedvs and Peel displayed some killer work over past years. Apart from his own label, he also released music on Sunil Sharpe's Earwiggle, Bas Mooy's MORD and UVB's Body Theory. Clearly influenced by the oldschool sound from the UK, this mix will definitely make you dance in your living room.

'Halahli EP' by Esvogt

For the fifth installment on Pure Conscience, the upcoming Esvogt delivers four highly functional techno grooves made for club use.

The EP kicks off with its lead piece ‘Halahli‘, a highly robust techno tool made up of trippy soundscapes and organic drum elements, all layered on top of a ruthless kick and bassline that is sure to make the dancefloor rumble.

‘Keetmannshop‘ upholds the energy with a playful yet stern synthesizer loop at the core, accompanied by further melodic textures and powerful, raw machine-drum style hats and crashes.

Sedvs’ version of ‘Keetmannshop‘ takes this piece to an even fiercer level, presenting a mean, no-fuss synthie loop as the star of the show, together with forward-marching gritty hats and claps for variation. Sedvs showing what he does best, once again.

The EP is rounded off with Esvogt’s hypnotic, yet at times still feral and unpredictable ‘Nautuk‘, consisting of analog drum layers that ebb and flow throughout the track, and intriguing bleeps and fades sourced straight from outer space.
