SUPERNOVA (Florence, ITALY)
Supernova are Emiliano Nencioni and Giacomo Godi; an Italian DJ and production duo that have over the last decade made the transition from rising stars to established international talent and are now recognised as artists and performers of enviable stature.  
Both Emiliano and Giacomo are classically trained musicians, something they believe has set their approach to electronic music apart from many of their peers, granting them the technical abilities and theoretical know-how to produce the music they want without restriction.
Taking their lead from the music of their youth – everything from Chicago house, acid house, hip-hop, funk and acid jazz. They have released constantly on Defected Records including remixes of seminal records ‘Can You Feel It’ and ‘Strings of Life’. In 2013 he duo is asked to mix one third of the long-running and acclaimed Defected In The House Miami compilation series and in 2015 the Nyc label King Street Sounds has released the “House Legend” album series dedicated to Supernova. The Italian duo has recently released tracks also on Get Physical Music, 8Bit, Mother Recordings, Elrow Music, Moon Harbour, Kling Klong, Stereo Productions, Toolroom, King Street Sounds, Nervous Records and  have been asked to remix some of the biggest classics of the House Music such as  Frankie Knuckles “The Whistle Song”, Kerri Chandler “Bar A Thym”, Jakatta “American Dream” and Romanthony “What Money Love” just to name a few.
In 2009 they started their own label Lapsus Music that is now considered one of the most interesting project inside the underground independent labels world scene with support from many big names and showcases across the world Over the years they feel the need to broaden their musical horizons and to share as much music as possible. Is for this reason that in 2017 Downtown Underground and Blackboard are born. The two new record labels have already achieved numerous successes. Lapsus Music, Downtown Underground and Blackboard represent a complete journey into all the musical visions of Supernova. 
The releases have been supported always by a hot touring schedule that have seen Supernova playing some of the most important club and festival worldwide like Monegros Desert Festival, Kazantip Festival, The Bpm Festival (Mexico & Portugal), Soultech Festival (Mexico City), Elrow (Ibiza & Barcelona), Ministry Of Sound (London), Amnesia (Ibiza), Space (Ibiza), Cavo Paradiso (Mykonos), Heart (Miami), Space (Miami), Cielo (Nyc), Sound (LA), Spybar (Chicago), The Egg (London), Sysiphos (Berlin), Katerblau (Berlin), Ritter Butzke (Berlin), Amnesia (Milano), Tenax (Florence), Vertigo (Costa Rica), Phi Beach (Sardinia), Womb (Tokyo), Eat The Beat (Melbourne), We Love (Sydney), Terraza (Florianopolis), ZEF (Buenos Aires), The Jungle Experience (Thailand) and many more.

Our journey into space continues, and for the 26th release, we give the controls of our mothership to the Supernova. The Italian veterans have made house music a way of life, landing on labels like Defected, Moon Harbour, and 8Bit, not to mention their Lapsus Music. Now, they make their Bamboleo debut with 'Dance On The Moon' EP, served with a remix by Hungarian master Reelow. On the lead, the Florence-based pairs deliver a solid and rumbling original with all the craziness that has accompanied them for over two decades for a gnarly house anthem with a fat bassline, bold drum patterns, and dubby stabs throughout. Next, 'More Than Just A Record' dives into more minimal and deep territories with fast-skipping grooves, funky synths, and jackin bass tones for the perfect blend of raw energy and joyful vibes. Closing things off, Solid Grooves affiliate and Reecords label boss Reelow reworks the main track with his trademark harsh and twisted touch. His remix of 'Dance On The Moon' relies on elastic percussions, slippery splashes of hip-hop sounds, SCI-FI sounds, and edgy grooves for a banging interpretation that allows us to land on the moon safely.

Supernova - Life Is A Disco ft Mr V. [Lapsus Music]

Lapsus Music label heads Supernova come next with a superb new EP Life is a Disco featuring a brace of brilliant house cuts.

Supernova are Emiliano Nencioni and Giacomo Godi, an Italian DJ and production duo that have over the last decade made the transition from rising stars to scene legends. They have mastered a wide range of styles with equal class and now once again come through with a standout new offering.

Life is a Disco goes first with the standout vocals of the legendary Mr V. His tender tones deliver in a hushed style that lends the cut real soul, while the lively drums bring disco energy and colour to house music energy. Art on the Road is a more stripped back house sound with smooth chords and icy percussion. It's heady and peppered with a touch of tribal style for those worldly dance floor moments.

These are two brilliant new cuts from this vital duo.

Chez Damier "Can You Feel It" (Supernova Remix)

The relentless Lapsus Music label keeps on serving up the goods. This time Pete Zorba is the man with the beats and his two originals get remixed by Supernova in fine style.

She Got Back is first and is a clattering tech cut with sharp hi hats cutting up the groove. The drums are punchy down low and all sorts of yelps and stabs bring the energy up top.

Light Room is next and is a darker, more driving cut with icy hi hats and spooky vocals. It's dancing music of the highest order that keeps you on your toes.

The remix from label boss men Supernova is a loopy, infectious affair with slivery drums and vocals that will amp any party. It rounds out another essential release of floor filing tech house.

Black Girl / White Girl continue to turn heads with their new EP on SOUP NYC, Pulse X. 

Turning the heads of Green Velvet, Jamie Jones, and Hector Couto, Black Girl / White Girl is one of the most hotly tipped DJ/production duos to come onto the scene. Their authentic sound successfully blurs the lines of tripped-out house and techno, an irresistible combo custom made for sending dance floors into a frenzy.

Previously releasing on storied imprints like Relief, Roush, and Resonance, here they make their SOUP NYC debut with Pulse X EP: three original cuts backed up with stellar remixes from Supernova and Joe Pompeo. 

Kicking off the EP, ‘The Great Space Chase’ is an exemplary house cut: all twisted, whirling synths and driving percussion with a huge, hooky lead that burrows its way into your brain.  ‘Sugar Ball’ continues in the same tripped out house vein, and comes complete with a remix from Italian duo Supernova who transform it into a jackin’ house bomb. 

Completing the package are two version of ‘1968’: the deep, dark, seething original and Joe Pompeo’s remix which strips things back to basics, giving it a raw, elemental power.

Black Girl / White Girl - Sugar Ball (Supernova Remix)

Label owners Supernova team up with Uruguayan artist Javier Cardellino to bring on the table a fresh as well as deep and groovy percussion house version of the original theme from the famous TV series Narcos.

Hot on the heels of their recent ‘Acidays EP’, Italian house duo Supernova are making an assertive return to their own Lapsus Music imprint. Teaming up with revered Spanish producer Dosem on the new collaborative single.

The new single neatly follows previous production ‘The Good Way’, aptly drawing on a darker, more stripped back sound while retaining the rolling dance floor groove that drove the aforementioned track. Building a fluid rhythmic shuffle around the track’s tight 4x4 backbone, the track evolves around the minimal metallic riff that hypnotically morphs across it. Deftly building energy, this nuanced interplay of melody and percussion creates a light-footed skip that is both precise and incisive.

Showcasing their undeniable dance floor nous while blending their sounds effortlessly, ‘The Nasty Way’ is a perfectly sculpted and potent production, sure to be a mainstay in the record bags of discerning DJs over the summer.
