This beat originated while donating my life force and was subsequently arranged, mixed, and mastered later at my home studio. Here follows an unnecessary  breakdown of the instrumental:

The main melodic idea comprising the beat is sampled from Laura Nyro's 1973 album, The First Songs, and is a track entitled "Lazy Susan*."  I extensively employed cutting, splicing, reversing and time-warping techniques to achieve the desired effect. The piano riff that plays a role as a counterpoint of sorts is sampled from Audrey Assad's "Winter Snow** (live on K-Love)."  The drums are various chopped samples from far too many records to list. The bassline was played by me via MIDI controller using Spectrasonics Trillian*** VST (no quantization used). I used Native Instruments Reaktor 5 for the electro piano on the hook and outro. I also used Spectrasonic's Omnisphere***** VST for the synth pad and bells in the outro. Lastly I also used reFX's Vanguard****** for the synth lead in the hook and outro.
