I have been wanting to do this for some time. Ever since the project dissolved in 2014, to be exact. It took some time to finally be at peace withe the whole thing. And I admit there's some trepidation in releasing some of this stuff. In fact (as mentioned in the bio) there is quite a lot of music from this project laying around. About 2-3 solid albums worth. I have decided to override any and all potential vetoes and put this out as it is just me with my guitar, strumming away on what would become the closing song (except for "My Tied and Empty Hands," and "David of the Attic.")for "A World Without Us." Some say we were done after AWWU. In some ways I have to agree with them. Either way, look for more demos, and unreleased stuff in the future. For now, have a listen to this old thing.

As one half of this project I would like to extend a healthy thank you to everyone who had ever helped this project in one form or another, which was mostly just the two of us. There were others that helped. not many though. 
With that said I'd like to once again thank everyone that supported us in our brief, but unique time as a musical project.

We are A Grave For Jason. We released the first installment (mixes) of the first album "A World Without Us"  on December 20, 2011. 

A Grave For Jason is the brain child of Jason Donnelly (Agonist Revival, Naples, Florida) and Jason McBride (Immure Recess, Youngstown, Ohio) Using the internet, a yousendit account, and conflicting digital recording studios, the project was brought to life like a musical Frankenstein, built piece by piece in the dark.
This project really gave the both of us the chance to step away from what we'd already been doing for the longest time. In both of our personal projects (IR and AR) we call all the shots and fill all the positions. Every vocal and every note is written and played by us. In AGFJ, we both had to loosen our grips so to speak, and allow one another room to roam free while working in the same direction. The technical difficulties and the AGFJ "curse" aside, the both of us have found in the end that the recipe we followed to create this music worked far better then we had anticipated.
