They say waiting is always the hardest part. Everyone knows that feeling, the mix of nervousness, impatience and excitement. You’re a few minutes away from watching your favorite band perform, you’ve just bought a new instrument and can’t wait to get home and play on it, you’re in an airport, waiting to get on that plane which will take you home. But you know that there’s a small part of you which is guiltily savoring the wait, some little corner of your mind that is enjoying the suspense. That is what Anticipation is all about.

Starting off as a chord-drum-bass jam inspired by the nightly servings of coffee during exams week in the D-block hostels of Vellore Institute of Technology, this song has since been infused with the crisp, emotive sounds of Varadarajan’s violins, adding the perfect ingredient to complete the rich brew.

Prelude in Bilahari is IndoSoul's take on the Indian classical song Paridana Meechite, originally composed by Patnam Subramaniya Iyer in the 19th century. This violin and piano duet performed by Karthick Iyer and Dondieu Divin brings together the rich tradition of Indian and Western classical music with the violin melody in Raga Bilahari interwoven with Bach inspired lines on the piano.

Started by keyboardist/producer/self-designated temperamental brat Maruthi and bassist/carnivore Nikil, Auditory Illusion is a collaborative project that scoffs at conventional geographical barriers of distance. Fueled by never-ending email conversations, chaotic Google hangouts and 10-hour-long car journeys, Auditory Illusion intends to draw inspiration from any conceivable genre of music (except dubstep - don't go there!) and brings together a diverse group of musicians to create eclectic music which is like Baskin Robbins - there's something for everyone!
