The new single from Faith Harding, aka Novelty Daughter, offers a glimpse into her disparate inspirations as she pairs her roots as a jazz vocalist with newer ventures in beat-making and production. Fresh off of a collaboration with label-mate A Sol Mechanic on his recent "just pick me up" EP, this new offering from Novelty Daughter shows off her growth as a producer and her ability to lyrically turn herself inside-out. Harding recently moved to Brooklyn where she is writing and recording her first full length, physical LP (slated for release on Stereocure in Spring 2015) and playing a consistent stream of live shows.

This one is a MASSIVE exclusive. If there's one album that's turned heads in the Boiler Room office more than any other this year, it's Sherwood at the Controls Vol. 1 1979-1984. The way Adrian Sherwood's visionary production finds common ground between post-punk (Shriekback, The Fall, The Slits), avant-funk and heavy reggae - with such advanced technique that he makes everything sound like a million dollars, and strangely futuristic despite being over three decades old. This unreleased track by bona fide Jamaican legend  Prince Far I  just proves the point.
