"Ani Ma'amin (אני מאמין) "I believe" is a prosaic rendition of Maimonides' thirteen-point version of the Jewish principles of faith. It is based on his Mishnah commentary to tractate Sanhedrin."
Over the years, Jews facing persecution created different hymns and melodies to Ani Ma'amin. This is my whack at it...

This is a quick little tune I done did one rainy afternoon. I think I was trying to channel (unsuccessfully)Elliot Smithesque calmness to this track. Hope you enjoy!

These dissonant lurking notes floating gently to your mind
Take a peek and be a creep hop in the backseat of my H.G. Wells, time machine
Rise like steam, unsettling, wrestling, best not be getting it on, turning it off, crossing the street, taking the heat just to be greeted by the streets on a for-profit "beat"
Blue form guns hang like leaves on a tree and this oak is poisoned but its roots are so deep, cause the shadows have been thriving since the 15th century and these issues have embedded to present society, 
We are meat, nicely packaged and presented and clean, no trace no base of the production industry, so we wait on the shelf to be poked by a kid who just likes the feeling of squishing things in his hands
So simple, so trivial, how idiotically miserably, no it's tragically lyrical, how subtle, how loud, like Andre the Giant in a crowd
But "we're proud" they say, wave the flag in their face, dropping "Fat Man" fallacies, repeat history, same old, same old, constituency, flipping delegate seats and overburdened by a rise of top priorities
Bake a new pie, serve the slices among the free, spread it like a seed of a new tree, new breed of equality, here, have a peace on me'

There and Back Again

This is a little diddy I wrote back in 2011 but didn't get around to recording till recently. This is a continuation of the percussion-absent more acoustic music i've been trying...slash all my electric guitars are an ocean away. While recording on acoustic guitar, I wanted to experiment with subtle sounds and licks that you may not get on the first listen. But as always, you'll find i'm just a little off pitch.

How Far We've Come

This was another one of those experimental diddies. Had a bit of free time and was inspired by the From Dusk Till Dawn netflix show and my old guitar teacher's band. The soloing at the end of this one was an attempt at consistency and flow, while remaining a bit simple. The other purpose of this song was to further my instrumental track catalogue. Soles Heel

This little didy is something I wrote for my mother. I didn't want to ruin it with lyrics, so I let the instruments do the explaining instead.

This little diddy I wrote on my day off a few months ago and finally got around to recording it. Though the melody gives the impression of jovial or upbeat (the 'sugar' bit), the lyrics provide the grounding and personal struggles being vented through this piece (the 'free' bit). As always, I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!

Sugar Free

Honest description: just wanted a tune that was easy on the ears, had a few different sounds I hadn't used in a while, and experimented with rhythm a little bit.  For those with very attentive ears, I did try and put a little homage to the song "Exit Music For A Film". 

*Some of the organ and electric piano tracks didn't render properly so the original tune had a little bit more fluidity to it but overall it plays pretty much how it's intended to be.

What If Street

This song first debuted live at Spring Jam 2012. The most fantastic flutist/mod-mate Colin Nanavaty accompanied me on the song's live debut as well as on this track. I wanted to get a Santana kind of a feel on this track.

The Lady In Red (Featuring Colin Nanavaty)

This is a track I recorded with the very talented Ariel Fogel way back in 2010. Ariel is more publicly known for his impressive chops on upright bass sitting in for tango orchestra's and various jazz sets. However, for this track he hopped on an old Rhodes keyboard and banged out some cracking solos. 

This is one of those fun, silly tracks that was pulled together from messing around. Hope you enjoy.
