The 36th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes - Ninesh Babu. A Kerala native from Thrissur (India) and currently based in Dubai (UAE), Ninesh has been pushing the progressive sound since 2009. His current evolution in sound has helped him put his mark on imprints like UV, JOOF Recordings, Freegrant Music to name a few. Ninesh made his debut appearance on our label in 2020 with a peak-time rumbling rework of "The Substance of Feeling" by Greg Tomaz which is seen on the fourth volume of Juicebox Music's "Untold Stories". Hello Everyone and welcome to another exclusive episode of the PFG Progcast! We continue around Australia on our whistle stop tour this month, and an artist that really is on the crest of a wave. With releases on all the right labels making all the right moves, we can't wait for this bright young talent to grace the decks around the world. Properly delighted to welcome in.... Zankee Gulati!

From under Southern Hemisphere skies, Zankee Gulati is a rising musical phenomenon. With his distinctive brand of underground house and a dash of techno, the Sydney based artist continues to develop a growing fanbase. Raised in Hobart, a move to New South Wales provided new opportunities to captivate club-goers with pristine DJ sets full of verve and craft. There were soon appearances at leading clubs and festivals like S.A.S.H, Bootz N Catz, Return To Rio, T1000 and many more. These have seen Zankee forge a 24-carat reputation in the city’s thriving underground dance scene with shows alongside industry icons Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Mantzur. Eelke Kleijn, Tim Green, Nick Warren and more 

As a promoter, Zankee Gulati’s resumé is no less impressive. Renowned for the blue-chip brand  ‘Bootz’N’Catz’ that has exploded onto Sydney’s clubland with an array of talent. Building upon performances from an DJ elite that includes Yotto, Guy J, Henry Saiz, Lane 8, Jeremy Olander and more.

Transposing a wealth of experience in clubs and commercial arenas, Zankee's growing production career has seen a meteoric rise recently. His early releases came on notable imprints as Clinique Recordings, Soundteller and Massive Harmony Records, all illuminating his talent. The “Breathe” EP on the globally renowned Particles label saw Zankee garner support from across the globe including, Tripswitch, Dmitry Molosh and Paul Thomas. 

The same level of support greeted his high profile release on Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden', with the vibes of "Visionary/Fika" released in 2020, and a remix for Seba Busto was also a notable highlight for the year.

2021 promises to see an exponential career trajectory with forthcoming releases on imprints such as  Mango Alley, Plattenbank, onedotsixtwo....We hope you enjoy the mix!

Seit geraumer Zeit wird mobil gemacht. Der Universalschlüssel liegt knapp über der Haut, schmiegt sich circa handgroß an die Hosentracht. Aus dem Mobilgerät heraus wird operiert, inszeniert und oktroyiert. Professionell wird die PR als Informations- und Unterhaltungsgut präsentiert. Aus symmetrisch wird hybrid und die Lüge wird treudoof zur Wahrheit umgedreht. Angst wird erzeugt, geschürt, dann ist sie allgegenwärtig, wer sie in Frage stellt ist besser ausgesprochen schlagfertig. All zu schnell werden Kritiker zu unmenschlichen Entitäten herab stilisiert und unliebsame Meinungen kurzerhand wegzensiert. Doch der allgemeine Aufschrei bleibt aus, ganz nach dem Motto, wer nicht mitmacht muss raus und dem Konformen frohlockt der Sechser im gesellschaftlichen Prestigelotto … Während wir im Eifer des alltäglichen Gefechts unsere Daten verschenken, lassen wir uns unbemerkt eine fremde Agenda vordenken, sowie Seele und Geist verblenden. 

Heute dürfen wir das DJ & Produzenten Duo Ykonosh wieder einmal auf KataHaifisch begrüßen. Anlass dieses Comebacks ist ein anderthalbstündiger Podcast. In diesem Set offenbart sich die ganze Detailverliebtheit und Leidenschaft der Beiden für die elektronische Musik. Heitere Melodien treffen auf düstere Basslines und ausgefallene Percussions sorgen für den notwendigen Groove. Das Gesamtbild wirkt schlüssig und lässt einen Gebannt hinhören.

I have always liked the 3/4 polyrhythm with a four to the floor kick. It is so mesmerizing to listen too. Add a bit of swing, some progressive filters and effects, and you have "prog". A nice progressive house track to get lost in. Reese bass under tones, ambient pads, just a solid collections of pleasing sounds.
