Our latest offering comes from an artist we've had a deep respect for many years now. After hosting Gnork back in 2019 at the first of many sold out events held at the inner city oasis, Coffee Iconic, we're delighted to now welcome him to our podcast series. 

This recording is taken from a 100% unreleased original material live set of Gnork's, deep in the forest at Telek Festival in Hungary. It consists of the Hungarian native's signature sound of breaks, acid and electro inspired beats perfect for the rave. Enjoy!

"My past year has taken me on some incredible trips to places I never dreamed I'd visit. But at the end of every jaunt I look forward to returning home to Toronto. For me personally, having roots in the city I cut my teeth in as a DJ is super important. On a bigger scale, it is paramount that I rep my city in my work as a DJ and producer and future label-owner. There is so much incredible music being made by folks in my city on cracked copies of Ableton or carefully-curated collections of gear acquired through exhausting 9-5 jobs. But compared to other scenes, we lack platforms and labels to showcase some of this work. Due to any number of reasons such as geography, lack of industry connections, and general ignorance about our scene, artists struggle to find a place to put their music out, and many often end up self-releasing rather than send demos out to European labels who ignore them. This mix is for them. It is my hope that through mine & others' efforts more DIY dance labels will sprout up in our city and that labels in other parts of the world will pay attention to my home."
