James Reid is a British DJ, producer, and record label owner who has spent the last 9 years living and playing in Ibiza as a resident DJ. His career started in 1998 in his hometown of Harrogate, which then led him to work summer seasons in Ibiza from 2003, where he learned his craft as a resident DJ in some of the island’s leading music venues.
 
James’ musical inspirations originate from the sound of the early 2000s in the US West Coast. This dubby percussive genre leads him to find the underground sounds of France and Romania, which now best represent his style and direction. In James’ sets, an infectious groove is always present with his stripped back deep minimal sound.
 
Having lived in Ibiza full time since 2011, James had played in Space Ibiza, at Carl Cox´s Revolution night, performed 3 consecutive years in Sydney at the Space Ibiza on Tour, and annual appearances at Australia’s premier electronic music brand S.A.S.H.
 
As a music producer, he has released on labels including Zingiber Audio, Whostryo, Midnight Social & Dubwise Records. In 2019, he started his vinyl-only record label Sonet Music. Now, he is based in England and focusing 
full-time on his music and his record label.
