I've always felt that radio and podcasts are for listening. If you want to hear me play club records, you can find me in one just about every weekend however this one is deep and incredibly sad… fitting for the times. Neelix - Left Behind

A piece of my set @ fusion! I've had a lot of troubles with the levels of the bass, and the sound technician wasn't very accommodating (are they ever?) so the levels are a bit weird at times :P 

Dj-set @ Palast Fusion 2014

Trus'Me is the techno-leaning alias of British producer. A fine proponent of the more discerning side of the techno sphere, Wolstencroft is also the owner of the respected Prime Numbers label, an imprint which has released his own productions but also released cuts from Actress, MCDE & Massimo De Lena, while Ostgut Ton favourites Ben Klock & Ryan Elliot have also featured. The label's latest offering is a remix package of Trus'Me's seminal Treat Me Right LP, with cuts from Skudge, Marcelus, Roman Flugel and more.

This mix for Dimensions Festival is a fitting example of where he's at right now where he brings us on a suitably epic journey through the realms of underground electronica, touching on a host of the aforementioned remixes along the way. Enjoy!

Trus'Me: Dimensions Festival 2014 Mix Series #21

this is the set liveset I played on the 4d system in amsterdam during my residency in April 2014. 
Equipment used: MFB Tanzbär, Clavia Nordrack2, TeenageEngineering OP-1, Arturia Microbrute and AbletonLive as master clock, sampler and midi sequencer. 

Everything on the 4D sound was tweaked by hand in real-time, as well as the whole arrangement. I preprogrammed some chords and grooves on my machines though. 

The 4D System is an advanced spatial sound system and the set is binaural (also called dummy head) recorded - in order to get an idea of how it sounded you need to use your headphones.

In Hour 2 we welcome German duo Âme, whose productions have featured many times on Solid Steel over the years. From their early releases on Sonar Kollektiv and their own Innervisions label, they have consistently produced music of high quality. In this mix they start with the melancholic vocal of Patrick Watson on The Cinematic Orchestra's 'To Build a Home' and on to the sound of Land Observations, Rotla and the Brian Eno project alongside Karl Hyde. Then it's Cirrus by Bonobo, Owen Pallett on Domino, To Rococo Rot and a remix of Peter Gabriel by Frank Wiedemann (one half of Âme) before closing with the beautiful sound of Joram Feitsma.

Solid Steel Radio Show 12/9/2014 Part 3 + 4 - Âme

It's not often we have a Mix of the Day on a weekend, but when we do they really are something special! German DJ/producer Matthias Meyer proves just that today, offering up an hour of smooth house and techno blends.

Now a staple of Hamburg label Liebe*Detail, Meyer saw his debut release through the label back in 2006. Since then, he's developed a much-loved signature style, building up a long list of requests for original tracks and remixes.

On October 4th, Meyer will show off his skills behind the wheels of steel, as new London promoters We Concur team up with Secret Garden Party's Temple of Boom hosts Avant Garde, for an night of the very best in underground dance at Corsica Studios. Alongside Meyer, Matthew Dekay, Baikal, Maeve boss The Drifter and We Concur resident Qash will all take to the booth.
