Saint Petersburg duo Alexander Temnikov and Valery Melekhin produce an eclectic raw electronic album tinged with IDM lofi elements and complex broken beats. Taking in elements of various genres while at the same time producing tracks that are truly authentic and novel.

пацаны44 translates into ‘’Patsany44’’ or in english’ ’boys44”. The true meaning is more nuanced and can be read as ‘’guys from the street, hood guys, hooligans, friends’’. The name is meant to represent the duos upbringing in the city of Sverdlovsk 44, which is located in the Urals, built around a uranium plant.

The duo was inspired by music engendering the end of 90's early 00's such as IDM,DnB and traditional electronics from that time frame.The creative output and vision of electronic music which inspires this album bears the imprint of that experience.

Each drop in this track echoes both the rhythm of sound
and the rhythm of life we’ve strayed from.

If nutrition is survival, how can we realign the rhythm?

Our bassline forgotten… we lost track.

Access to healthy food — prices soar.
Education lacking — everything out the door.
The rhythm we needed comes down to the core,
but together we can rise once again and we can restore.

Across the world, the foods we eat have changed.
Additives, colorings, preservatives — made to preserve food,
but not always to preserve life.
Over time, true nourishment slipped from priority.
The cost has been great.

Yet there is hope.
A movement is rising —
calling us back to health,
to wellness,
to the essentials of life.

Voices everywhere are asking for better,
seeking knowledge,
choosing compassion —
for themselves,
for their families.

This track is my prayer.
My offering of support for that shift.
Because more of us want this change than may be seen.
Because our survival depends on it.

I made this jam on the Elektron Digitakt which I send back to the retailer lately. The Digitakt is a great sampler, but I realised I needed something bigger - the Octatrack was the only alternative, cant wait to finally get my hands on this monster! Imagine how much I am looking forward to the day he arrives since I already advertise the Octatrack in my artwork, without even using it before :)

Special times, special release : our six producers are finally reunited in this third output of our Crysta Ampullaris series. Ayuji, Shonen Bat, Slowglide, Nigm, Indigo Persona and Lebird are gracing us with some of their best lockdown creations. As always, these tracks display their mutual roots as much as their individual visions of electronic music.

First, trancethusiast Ayuji takes us on an underwater journey to the lost continent : bright pads turning into epic acid lines as we’re going faster and faster through the ocean’s fauna and flora. Post-fluokid Shonen Bat switches on to ‘Memorigram’, an optimistic solarpunk bass-rolling track that suddenly gets a more contrasted and melancholic mood when the chords appear. Slowglide’s video games hermitage finally paid off, as he invites us with ‘Myst’ to a deep, bass-fueled VR trip through a self-generated jungle full of noises and glitches.

Sound-sculptor Nigm found the perfect balance between deep atmospheres and hard-hitting percussions. Built like a kind of mantra, ‘Toward Brighter Days’ slowly turns into a message of hope for the near future. Goldsmith Indigo Persona blew our minds with ‘Reality’, a DnB-infused IDM gem that showcases his stunning skills for sound design, deep textures and rhythmic twists. Last but not least, crazy scientist Lebird delivers a wistful jungle tune : surgically-precise breakbeats, heavy subs and modern tones melt together in this future-proof piece.
