Solemn T E T H Y S, Piano Sonata

This track starts with harmonized guitars in D minor slice through the mist like blades. The drums pace shift into a blast beat — slow and still aggressive, but with a pocket that hints at groove metal. The vocalist snarls with clarity, screaming about betrayal, decay, and the loss of divinity. Melodic lead lines weaving in and out of minor and Phrygian modes.

The chorus soars, with clean vocals harmonies. The melody is tragic, almost beautiful. Think Insomnium or early In Flames — but lusher, as if the guitars are mourning rather than raging. There’s a sense of desperation and grandeur, almost operatic in delivery.

Suddenly, everything drops out. Silence… then a haunting snippet of Maria Callas singing "Casta Diva" (or a similarly ethereal aria). Her voice enters with heartbreaking fragility, echoing over a minimal backdrop: just a vinyl hiss and soft synth textures. The operatic segment isn’t just pasted in — it’s warped slightly, slowed down and run through a reverb-heavy filter, giving it a spectral, otherworldly quality. It feels like time has stopped. Her voice becomes the ghost of a forgotten goddess. The lyrics are tearfully sung.

As La Divina fades, the beat comes back — but this time, it's merged with chugging palm-muted guitars. The trip-hop rhythm drives forward while distorted guitars and ambient electronics create a strange fusion. It’s hypnotic.

The chorus returns — bigger, layered with backing choirs, possibly even sampling Callas’s aria in the background subtly. The guitars are more triumphant now, though still melancholic. The final note is held out with feedback, and a vinyl crackle resumes, fading out into silence.
