We started out as a small vinyl label and club night, and over the years we evolved into a global family of pioneers and enthusiasts in underground electronic music. Around 100 events and 50 releases down the line, we've put together something a bit special, so here it is, TRIP050. Here we celebrate the past and the present, while continuing to push forward into a future that can only sound thumping.

Joining us with pivotal contributions are Fractious, Moog Conspiracy, Calum Connell & iluna, who makes her debut here. Cutting-edge additions from family faces Boom Merchant, Hockins, Homma Honganji, Obsidian Wave, Fragile X and recent addition Lefrenk make this a truly intercontinental journey.

“Reattore Nucleare” marks a powerful new chapter in Mirko Antico’s musical journey, capturing his most intense and explosive sound to date. Released on Meet Recordings, the project channels the overwhelming force and tension of atomic energy, transforming it into a hypnotic and aggressive techno experience.

The title track, “Reattore Nucleare,” is a high-pressure construction built on driving rhythms, deep pulse, and an atmosphere charged with raw electricity. We introduce Comfort Zone, a young producer from Montreal, who has been making music for around 7 years now. He is inspired by "music from late 90s/early 00s video game soundtracks and the occasional snippets of electronic music I heard as a kid". We find that statement very much reflected in this release, as he masters the challenge of blending mysterious samples and different styles to form harmonious compositions.

On one side of the 4-track EP we have 2 groovy House tracks, reminiscent of early 2000s House by the likes of Lance DeSardi, Ian Pooley and Atjazz, on the other side 2 classic Jungle tracks which uphold our tradition of releasing timeless music.

Here comes the second release of BRVTAL, another split, but this time focusing on the local scene of the label. Because we put together two defining figures of the contemporary techno scene in Budapest, AGA2L and Adam Krasz.

@aga2l is a member and co-founder of BRVTAL and this will be his first release on his own imprint. He started his activity in the scene as a DJ for a while now and he became an unavoidable figure of it in the last few years. Maybe not too many people knew, but he started making music almost the same time as he's playing vinyls, but until the beginning of 2020, he didn't share anything. First track of him came out earlier this year on a charity compilation for Gólya by Dalmata Daniel label. This song is already guessed what will be his way as a producer. Yes, nothing surprising, his own music style is not far from his taste of music as a DJ. Cruel darkness of sound with heavy bass, noisey industrial vibe and banging drums as we may experience it on his side of BRV002.

@adamkrasz is a Hungarian musician, sound and media artist currently doing his PhD in Sound Art at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art in Budapest and also a member of Műhely. As an artist he mostly works with video and sound, exploring and documenting the environment of the modern human. In his dance music works he brings together the harsh, noise-filled sounds of modular synthesisers with the endless, soulless looping of the current digital age. This contradiction manifests in two heavy hitting techno tracks on the second release of BRVTAL.
