Metro-Gnomes

Kentaro Sato's beautiful 'Tsunangari', originally composed for SATB choir and arranged by Jonathan Bates, we performed this in our RNCM Concert Hall appearance, dedicating it to the memory of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice in the World Wars, with our concert taking place 2 days before Remembrance Sunday.

The piece was performed in pitch black, with an extended break of silent reflection after the end of the music.

A live recording from a recent concert of the famous Elegy from John Ireland's 'Downland Suite'. Often regarded as one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed for the brass band genre, this arrangement by A4's horn player Jonathan Bates features extensive solos from Jamie (cornet) and Chris (euphonium).
