Round 1 - For some reason, Dad Egbert gets knocked to losers by an unspeakable and unidentified entity (51.5% - 48.5%)

Losers Round 1 - Dad Egbert sends Gooseworx her first 0-2 in a surprisingly close match. It seems Gooseworx would never recover  (53.6% - 46.4%)

Losers Round 2 - Oh fuck, in a rather predictable match, Dad Egbert crushes the big lad Kulche. (72.9% - 27.1%)

Losers Round 3 - Dad shows Etroup who really makes the rules with a rather big win, however Etroup didn't go down without a fight. (61.8% - 38.2%)

Losers Finals - Dad triumphs over New York Pizza and Miles' new and dangerous form, returning him to normal. After bonding with the teenager, he moves on to grand finals, and his final showdown. (55.3% - 44.7%)

Grand Finals - In a climatic final showdown, Dad Egbert finally falls to the force of Plankton, the Homestuck was finally fought. (52.6% - 47.4%)

Imagine you and all your friends reuniting, only, you're off to the side. You could be there, talking and hugging with them, but maybe you just don't have it in you anymore. Would it take too much energy? Or is it a lingering sadness, and a belief you don't deserve this sort of scene? That's roughly what Verse is experiencing at this point in Elancia's story.
