Embedded deep in the Parisian scene is S3A (Sampling As An Art), an artist who aims to produce culturally-enthused music sifted from various sources.

This time around, S3A hits a Various Artists release on Maurits Verwoerd (aka Nachtbraker) and Giuseppe D’Alessandro (aka KiSK)'s label, https://soundcloud.com/quartetseries.  Also featured on the release is Russian comrade Ponty Mython (Dirt Crew, Quintessentials), NY*AK (Technicolour/Ninja Tune, Karakul), and Rotterdam based D-Ribeiro (4lux, Meda Fury).

Review on Juno :
There are echoes of classic Parisian deep house moments in this bluesy EP from current Paris resident S3A (Sampling as an Art). "Holdin' On", for example, evokes memories of both loopy filter house and, more pertinently, the early works of St Germain (circa Boulevard). "Homage", particularly in its "Ravy Bonus Beat" guise, goes further towards classic French disco-house territory, sounding not unlike a grown up take on early Casius or Stardust. Meanwhile, "For The Girlz" expertly loops up some disco-funk grooves and soulful scat vocals, throwing in some additional percussion and classic US garage stabs to keep the party moving.

A.K.A (est. 2015) is a French and international booking and production agency. A.K.A is the fruit of a collaboration between Arty Farty (organiser of the Nuits Sonores festival) and Alias (France's top booking agency), uniting the two organisations' skills. A.K.A develops a new catalogue to connect constancy and commitment, artistic high-standards and professional rigor.

A.K.A is aiming to put today's independent artists in the spotlight, both in France and abroad. It is set on acting as a guiding light for a number of artists and their careers, with a focus on integrity, curiosity and consistency.
