To close the year 2021, Oddity presents the long awaited various artists, Odd Echoes vol. 5, loaded with hypnotic melodic cuts from new and returning artists.

The V.A, showcases the label's cohesive, yet diverse and evolving melodic sound, with a number of artists brought together to create this magical journey.

Opening the V.A label boss Fur Coat delivers a new collaboration with Alfa Romero, introducing us to the construction of the deepest, most ethereal and melodic sounds, where artists like Adamant, Baime, aacht, Esoteric Circle and Andrea Martini show a coherent crescendo in the timeline of the compilation.

Continuing the story, we can see new names joining the record label like Casper Cole, Rinzen, Jos & Eli, delivering some diverse melancholic yet euphoric cuts.

Digging further into the compilation, sounds like those of the collaboration of Jonas Saalbach and Tantum, or the originals by Remcord, Lexer, SOEL, 19:26, Beswerda, Sascha Breamer bring a touch of darkness that transport us to another dimension in sound.

Last but not least, Aalson, The Element MT, Daijan ft. Running Pine, Black Peters and Jody Barr, present some closing-oriented emotional cuts, with some of them including some breaks or experimenting with some unique synths and textures, to ensure the perfect closure to this story we call Odd Echoes.

‘Dust’ evokes the endless expanse of the digital, of the void behind the screen. Linearity, eradicated. Rhizomic sound. The drive to live, captured, compressed into a faint murmur, filed away in digital format; and yet always blooming within the burrows of electricity, of sound waves, never further than a click away.

Desolate synth factories riddled with traps and broken windows and the slow passage of time. A spark of white. The factory breathes through convex amplifiers, and the hands shoot upward. The file forgotten, buried beneath the Dust, a click away.

Steyoyoke Black’s Reconstructed Series returns with a compelling two track EP featuring two remixes of Nick Devon’s ‘Venus Landing’ as well as Binaryh’s ‘Algorithm’. Minimalism is the name of the game for recent additions on remix duty Altego and aacht.
 
Altego has been making waves of late with his debut performance on Steyoyoke Black ‘Thousand Words’. His rendition of ‘Venus Landing’ cements his style in impressive fashion. A compact kick throbs relentlessly as inhuman synths weave in and out. Altego takes the listener on a journey through dimensions unknown as spectral soundscapes create a distinct sense of otherworldliness.

aacht’s reconstruction of ‘Algorithm’ immediately overwhelms the listener with a strong percussive structure as well as a delicate blend of pads and bassy pulsation. Shimmering rides thrust the track forwards until it gives way to a lengthy break of artful silence and playful synths. aacht’s rendition of ‘Algorithm’ is an intelligently engineered floor-filler that is bound to hit home delivering both melancholy and danceable vibes alike.
 
The latest edition of Steyoyoke Blacks Reconstructed perfectly merges the experimental with the danceable. Complex tracks filled with eerie soundscapes that are nonetheless certain to make the dancefloor quake.

After a long break, hamburg based records label „Geistzeit“ is back with a new release by the melodic genius „aacht“. The EP called "Reminiscence" comes along with 2 Original Mixes and a stunning remix by Innacircle. Today were proud to premiere the second track of the EP „Long Gone“. A deep athmospheric track which shows some dub vibe and keeps the tension.

Fur Coat’s Oddity label starts 2021 with a fresh edition of the acclaimed various artists “Odd Echoes Vol.4”. This instalment showcases some artists that are already known to the label, as well as many new additions to the family.

Fur Coat’s commitment to their label over the last few years has seen the imprint amass a dedicated following and an ever growing list of respected and lauded releases. Utilising their Various Artists compilations, the duo have unearthed some extremely exciting talent in this world and given emerging artists a platform to exhibit their craft.

Diving into the package we are greeted with the melodic and emotional sounds that Oddity has their recognisable stamp. Its clear though that each artist involved has developed their own signature sound and presents something unique to the VA. The first half is formed of well crafted tracks which ease us into the sound. Tracks the build and develop over time and help to kick start out musical exploration.

In true Oddity style the second half of the package leans towards darker and more driving pieces. Casting the listeners mind to the dancefloors which the tracks were meant to be played on. Its a VA formed of 21 original tracks mostly from first timers on the label, that all together solidify the identity of the series and sound of Oddity.
