Incorporating a deep bassline and a free-flowing instrumental blend, this creation achieves an impressive balance between hopeful and melancholic tones. ’The Truth Is Coming Now’ floats across a gentle soundscape, marrying soft piano keys with subtle percussion, laced with a soft vocal. This is a Sundance award-winning documentary by acclaimed art-house director John Maringouin.  The story follows Martin Strel, a Guinness World Record holding Slovenian long-distance swimmer, best known for his 1K mile swims for environmental awareness.  As a "thoroughly engaging and genuinely fascinating documentary", Rich Ragsdale's score is no less of an achievement as it defines Strel and his comedic yet serious struggle in swimming 3,300 miles down the Amazon.  Going from a Pendereckian aesthetic to even post-rock and orchestral minimalism, this score is contagious in its ability to take you on a comedic yet dark subconscious emotional journey of Big River Man's eclectic protagonist.

Although it's not possible to be with all of you at the moment, we're still able to communicate through our music. We are delighted to share our new Song 'Home' with you, a collective effort from Delhia de France, Marino Canal and us.

As Marino had multiple appearances on Siamese Records like 'A Fire in the Sun' or 'Dreamt of Tomorrow' and we've already worked successfully with Delhia de France in the past on 'Tachykardia' from our debut album 'Nude' as well as our much-loved remix for her track 'Tremors :Nemesis', it seemed inevitable to work on a track all together.

Delhia had originally written 'Home' as a song creating an ambiance that beautifully resembles the feeling of stillness. "It's about someone scared of true intimacy running away from themself, but being seen by the other person who is offering a safe space, a home in the moment. With what we are is experiencing right now, many people are faced with a sudden stillness and it's hard for a lot of us to deal with it. Being forced to really be with oneself, in solitude" Delhia says.

The world hit pause and we had to re-evaluate our patterns of behavior, re-think life, re-appreciate the things that, too often, go unnoticed and most of all face our own fears. It could teach us that the true home lies in the moment. It's the safest place to be, where no fear exists, as there is no need for the past nor the future.

Howlin' Wolf Records is very proud to present GHOST HOUSE, a richly textured, haunting, and beautiful score by director and composer Rich Ragsdale. For GHOST HOUSE the composer used a three-tiered approach, anchored by a classical symphonic horror score recorded using the Budapest Scoring Orchestra conducted by Péter Pejtsik. This is augmented by 80's synth elements, paying homage to scores by Goblin and John Carpenter. Finally, ambient ethnic sounds were incorporated to honor Thailand where the film is set, featuring monks recorded live in a Thai temple. The album concludes with a melodically lovely, yet eerie vocal track gorgeously performed by Sherri Chung.

The insert booklet for GHOST HOUSE features liner notes written by the film's director and composer Rich Ragsdale. The packaging designs by Luis Miguel Rojas are both beautiful and frightening to reflect the essence of the film and the score.

Since making his label debut on 'Explorations 07’ back in 2018, Marsh has solidified himself as a firm label favourite and future star. Championed by the likes of Joris Voorn, Kölsch, and Phil Taggart at BBC Radio 1, Marsh now returns with his ‘Lost In You EP’.

Leading with ‘Lost In You’, Marsh lends his own vocal to the track, characteristically weaving a driving bass with groove-laden percussion. Next up, with its shivering arpeggios riffs and dreamlike atmospherics, the reminiscent ‘Gijpe’ gives a nod to the label’s inaugural ‘Explorations’ festival in Dhërmi last summer where Marsh performed on the secluded beaches of Albania’s Ionia Coast. A highlight from ‘Anjunadeep 11’ earlier in the year, Marsh closes the EP with another meticulously crafted melodic cut with the piano-led ‘Human’.

Breakout star Berlin-based producer and live artist Ben Böhmer returns to Anjunadeep after a landmark 18 months. Amassing over 50 million streams, picking up BBC Radio 1 support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, including an ‘Essential New Tune’, being featured in Billboard’s ‘Ones To Watch’ and most notably releasing his acclaimed debut studio album ‘Breathing’ last November. This year Ben released the ‘Breathing’ (Remixed) LP featuring reworks from dance music royalty like Boris Brechja and Gui Boratto, along with his first-ever live album, ‘Live from Printworks London’. He now follows with the statement three-track ‘Phases EP’.

A set of exuberant and unapologetically club-ready tracks, the ‘Phases EP’ is an almost nostalgic evocation of a more innocent and celebratory time. ’With the lockdowns and club closures still in effect across the world, the ‘Phases EP’ is a kind of weird reminder of a lost world, of what once was.’ Böhmer wistfully reminisces, ‘I made the music to sound great in big clubs to a big crowd late at night. In fact, I debuted two of the tracks in my Printworks set last year. Now that’s all gone, and that time seems a world away.’

Title track ‘Phases’, a highly sort after ID throughout Ben’s sets over the past 12 months sees him team up with Anjuna mainstay Spencer Brown for their second collaborative production. The EP follows with a pair of certified dance floor moments, ‘Motherboard’ adrift with vocal loops and driving bass and ‘Zeit & Raum’ a staccato brass-laden number.

With a passion for abstract art and photography, Böhmer is using a piece by artist Tyrone Williams for the cover art of the ‘Phases EP’. Says Böhmer, ‘whenever I travel, I love to visit museums. But there’s no travel now, and all the museums are closed. It’s a different world.’ 

When he’s not working on music in his newly-built home studio, Böhmer currently occupies himself with games of chess and long walks through a nearby forest, living the quiet existence that we all have been reduced to, as we wait for the world to bloom again.

Graeme Shepherd (a.k.a. Grum) released his second artist album ‘Deep State’ last November. A showcase of Grum’s ability to craft pitch-black progressive and immersive vocal pop, the album embraced vintage dance floor ideas in a thoroughly modern way. In the wake of the album, Grum toured Europe and the US before launching ‘Deep State Recordings' in January 2020, and has regularly appeared on our Twitch channel throughout the year.
 
The anthemic closing track from his ‘Deep State’ album, Grum’s ‘Afterglow’ (featuring singer-songwriter Natalie Shay) has now been remixed by Kane and Pavel Khvaleev.
 
A producer, writer and mental health advocate, Kane previously remixed FM-84’s ‘Running In The Night’ with Josep, a fan favourite from Grum's Anjunabeats Worldwide 07 compilation. His drum and bass remix of 'Afterglow' is a typical curveball from this versatile artist.
 
Russian DJ, producer and filmmaker Pavel Khvaleev makes his first appearance on the label, with a progressive rework of 'Afterglow'. He was previously one half of the electronic music project Moonbeam, with his brother Vitaly.

A fan favourite from Anjunadeep 11, 'Overtones' became renowned for its killer breaks and addictive synth riff. Heavily influenced by the sound of classic UK house music, the track has been one of the label standouts of 2020. 

A year on, Anjunadeep presents two stunning remixes from LA's Promnite and Russia’s PROFF. Boasting a back-catalogue of hip-hop and dance, and production credits with the likes of Katy Perry, Lil Yachty, and A-Trak, Promnite demonstrates a further talent for melodic and deep house in his Anjunadeep debut, offering a gripping four-to-the-floor take on the original. 

First heard on Anjunabeats Volume 15, PROFF’s remix is imbued with a classic progressive house flavour, playing the main riff through a punchy drum mix that gives way to an elegant breakdown of strings and arpeggios.

Originally from Sydney, Frost has released on Mau5trap, alongside official remixes for the likes of ZHU and Sofi Tukker. His crisp production illustrates why he has garnered support from industry heavyweights such as Pete Tong.
