Setting you up for your weekend we have Ram, a Dj/producer from Navan. He got his start Djing while living in Galway during the summer of 2019, entering an open deck competition in Galway's Blue Note Bar. A few weeks later he was invited back to play a full set and by that time he'd played a few rowdy late-night house parties in Galway which would soon become a regular occurrence. With a keen love for a variety of genres his sets could include anything from techno, house and disco to garage, jungle and DnB. However, his first love of dance music began in the late noughties when trance anthems by the likes of Cosmic Gate, Tiesto and fellow Navan native John O'Callaghan would soundtrack his summers spent knick-knacking houses, learning jumpstyle and sending his mates songs via Bluetooth. For this mix he's tried to channel that jumpstyle-bluetooth energy while adding a darker edge that he's become more akin to since he started going to raves, the result is a relentless hour long mix combining the sounds of psy, goa and acid trance with hard trance and techno.

For our 3rd submission on Mavrica Classic, we present an act from Ireland named Aaron Geraghty or also known under his alias Ram.

Ram is from a small town in Meath, Ireland, but his first involvement in the dance music scene was in the lively city of Galway on Ireland's west coast where he played regularly in pubs and at house parties pre-covid. His influences include acts like Kerri Chandler and Mall Grab which can be heard in this house mix that blends deep and moody bass sounds with colorful and emotive synths and instruments.
